Alabama lands a holiday commitment from touted CB Zyan Gibson
Gadsden City (Ala.) High On300 2026 cornerback Zyan Gibson announced his commitment to Alabama on Christmas Eve.
The blue-chip Gibson chose the Crimson Tide over his other finalists in Auburn, Miami and Tennessee.
Gibson visited Tuscaloosa several times during his process and becomes commit No. 1 for head coach Kalen DeBoer and his staff in his class.

“Everything they told me was true,” Gibson said.
Maurice Linguist was the lead recruiter for Gibson who ranks as the On3 Industry’s No. 9 cornerback and No. 69 prospect overall. He visited for at least one Alabama game during each month of the season.
“The relationships I have with them,” Gibson said. “The coaches, the players and great energy every time I go up.”
Gibson sees Alabama as a place that can get the best out of him.
“Development,” Gibson said. “Can they get me to the next level and having fun.”
The Iron Bowl atmosphere was one Gibson can’t wait to play in.
“Bama defense was physical,” he said. “The DBs played fast and aggressive. I loved that.”
Gibson’s father Michael, who played at Ole Miss, also likes what he’s seen from Alabama.
“I really enjoy the process with Alabama,” the elder Gibson said. “Meeting the new staff and stuff like that they’re really transparent with us and built a great relationship. Especially myself and the GM Courtney Morgan. He’s been really hands on with this process with Zyan and myself and Zyan’s mom. We’re just really enjoying being around them and they welcome us with open arms every time we’re on a visit.”
Gibson ranks as the No. 4 overall prospect in the state.
