Alabama vs Wake Forest Super Regional delayed due to 'non-game-related medical event'

The start of the Super Regional showdown between the Alabama Crimson Tide and Wake Forest Demon Deacons has been delayed.
According to Wake Forest, it’s due to a non-game-related medical event. The first game of the Super Regional was slated to begin at Noon on Saturday.
“Due to a non-game-related medical event, gates will not be open at this time,” tweeted Wake Forest. “The start of the game will be delayed as well. More info will be provided as it becomes available.
“Fans are welcome to await gate entry inside the DEACTOWN Fan Zone inside Gate 5 at Truist Field.”
As the Demon Deacons noted on Twitter, more information will be provided as it comes available, as it seems as if there isn’t a set start time for the game at the moment.

Jackson’s squad will have to go through the Wake Forest Demon Deacons if they’re to seize a spot in the College World Series. Instead of being intimidated, Alabama is simply looking at facing the top team in the nation as a fantastic opportunity to showcase their abilities.
“I think that it’s a great opportunity,” explained Jackson. “I think our guys have earned this opportunity, to get a chance to you know, go on the road and play the team that’s ranked No. 1 in the country.
“Said before, we’re really excited about it, so yeah.”
While it may be a tough challenge, Alabama can truly make a statement if they can not only play Wake Forest hard, but if they can beat them over the weekend.
It won’t be easy, and Jason Jackson recognizes that. However, if you’ve learned anything over the last few months, remember not to bet against Alabama, even if all the odds aren’t in their favor.
