Alabama WR Kendrick Law expected to enter transfer portal
Alabama wide receiver Kendrick Law is expected to enter the transfer portal, a source tells On3. The former top-100 recruit will have one year of eligibility remaining.
In three seasons with the Crimson Tide, Law posted 33 catches for 343 yards and a touchdown. The wide receiver decided to stay in Tuscaloosa last offseason despite former Alabama head coach Nick Saban’s departure.
Now he will enter the transfer portal and look for a new landing spot. Coming out of Shreveport, Louisiana, Law picked the Tide over Florida State, Texas and LSU. The 5-11, 202-pound wide receiver bench pressed 465 pounds last offseason and squatted 655, according to The Athletic.
Kendrick Law dealt with an injury this season, exiting in the second quarter of the Georgia game and finished the year with only six game appearances. He was flagged on a critical third down against Tennessee, turning a 4th-and-7 to a 4th-and-22 in the game’s final minutes.

He’s the third departure of the day for the Alabama roster. Wide receiver Caleb Odom and offensive lineman Miles McVay have already announced their departures. Alabama finished the regular season 9-3 and missed the College Football Playoff in Kalen DeBoer’s first season. The Crimson Tide will play Michigan in the ReliaQuest Bowl on New Year’s Eve.
The transfer portal officially opens on Dec. 9. More than 2,800 FBS scholarship players entered their names into the NCAA’s transfer database during the 2023-24 school year. Removing those who withdrew or went pro, the final total sat at 2,707 transfers. That means roughly 25% of all FBS scholarship players hit free agency in one year.
