The offer list for Flower Mound (Texas) Marcus four-star quarterback Colton Nussmeier continues to grow coming off of his sophomore season of high school football.

Nussmeier, the younger brother of LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier, posted to social media Monday afternoon that he has been extended an offer to play for Alabama at the next level.

“All Glory to God!! Thankful to have received an offer from The University of Alabama #RollTide,” Nussmeier wrote.

The 6-foot-3, 175-pound passer is the nation’s No. 18 overall prospect in the 2027 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is the No. 3 quarterback early on in the cycle and the No. 4 recruit from the state of Texas.

In 10 games at Flower Mound Marcus this season, Nussmeier threw for 16 touchdowns to just three interceptions, racking up nearly 2,000 yards passing at a 59.1-percent completion rate.

Alabama joins an offer sheet that includes Georgia, Georgia Tech, Auburn, Michigan and others. LSU — where Colton’s brother, Garrett, is the early betting favorite to win the 2025 Heisman Trophy — offered Colton back in September.

“I think my relationship is pretty good with LSU mainly because of my brother (LSU starting quarterback Garrett Nussmeier) and how many times I have been there to see him,” Colton Nussmeier told On3 in November. “I think I have a pretty good connection with the staff.”

As of now, just three of the top 25 recruits in the 2027 On3 Industry Ranking have committed to a school. McKeesport (Pa.) running back Kemon Spell (No. 15 NATL.) is committed to Penn State, while Wayne (Ohio) athlete Jamier Brown (No. 6 NATL.) and Huntington Beach (Calif.) quarterback Brady Edmunds (No. 16 NATL.) are both pledged to Ohio State.
