With both teams coming off wins, the early point spread is out for Alabama and Ole Miss to highlight Week 4 action in the SEC.

The Crimson Tide escaped South Florida with a 17-3 win over the Bulls and had numerous quarterback questions while the Rebels took down Georgia Tech 48-23 at home. As Ole Miss travels to Tuscaloosa this coming weekend, Alabama opened as a 7.5 point favorite, according to FanDuel.

If Lane Kiffin is to beat his former boss Nick Saban, his team will need to do it as underdogs.

Alabama has a decision to make though, now that the world saw three different quarterbacks in action.

Jalen Milroe went 1-1 in his two starts while Tyler Buchner got the start against USF. However Ty Simpson came in as well to clean things up.

None of it inspired immense confidence as Alabama has one of its tougher games of the year against Ole Miss next.

“We’re gonna evaluate the quarterbacks that played today and evaluate Jalen Milroe in terms of how he played and decide this week who gives the best opportunity to be successful as an offensive team,” Saban said in his opening statement postgame, via BamaOnline. “And that’s the way we’ll go.”

Alabama vs. Ole Miss odds and early point spread revealed for Week 4

Milroe could return to the field for Alabama-Ole Miss. But those decisions will likely play out through the course of the week.

“He did a great job,” Saban said of Milroe. “He really has been supportive of his teammates, and I was happy to see that. And hopefully, we’ll all learn lessons from the experiences that we have and move forward in a positive way.”

There are no quarterback questions going into the Alabama game for Ole Miss as Jaxson Dart carried the load again. He threw for 251 yards and a touchdown while running for 136 yards and two scores.

“Quite honestly going into the game I didn’t think I was going to run as much as I did,” Dart said postgame. “After the first few drives, talked to coach (Charlie) Weis and coach (Sterlin) Gilbert and they kind of told me it was just going to be that kind of a game.

“I love that part of the sport. I love that part of football. My dad always raised me to be a football player before a quarterback. I just always loved the physicality of it, for sure.”
