Alabama RB commit Richard Young visiting Florida

Lehigh Acres (Fla.) Lehigh Senior four-star running back and Alabama commit Richard Young will be in Gainesville, Fla., today for Florida‘s game against Utah.

He said on Twitter that the decision to go is in order to see his former teammate Alex Gonzalez, who is a freshman for the Gators. His commitment to Alabama, he emphasized, was still firm.

Young as the ranks 33rd overall recruit and second running back in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

He is one of two elite running backs committed to the Crimson Tide in the 2023 recruiting class with Buford (Ga.) four-star running back Justice Haynes. Haynes will be in Atlanta for the Georgia versus Oregon game as a guest of the Bulldogs.
