Alabama social media pays tribute to Nick Saban after field ceremony
Nick Saban may have begun his Saturday in Ann Arbor for ESPN College GameDay but his mind had to be in Tuscaloosa. He physically was there not too long after, seeing the field at Bryant-Denny Stadium dedicated in his name. Not too long after retiring, athletic director Greg Byrne decided a name change was needed.
A ceremony took place at halftime during Alabama‘s game against USF, with Saban, Miss Terry, and his entire family being on the field. Multiple different areas were unveiled during the day. But seeing it inside the stadium had to be a special moment.
Following all of the festivities, the Alabama Football social media paid tribute to Saban themselves. A nice photo of the Saban family was caught, catching multiple different areas of which Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium is in sight.

Nick Saban speaks on field being named after him
As Alabama unveiled Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium, Nick Saban stepped to the podium to deliver a heartfelt speech. He and his wife, Miss Terry, were in attendance for the ceremony.
“This is a great honor to have the field named after a legacy that we’ve been able to create here,” Saban said. “But I want this legacy to be able to represent every player who played, who worked hard; every coach who helped those players develop; our administration who set a foundation where we had a chance to be successful by providing all the resources that we needed to be to have the best program in the country; and to you, the fans, who were always positive in terms of the way you supported our players, our program and all the things that we did.”
