All-American Bowl Commitment Schedule: Top recruits announce college selections
Most of the top prospects in the 2024 recruiting class have already signed their letters of intent, but a few have scheduled their decisions for the All-American Bowl in San Antonio on January 6.
We take a look at which programs could land late commitments from stars in the 2024 class — and which teams could get a jump start on the next recruiting cycle.
4-star EDGE Christopher Burgess (2025) – Pregame
School: Chicago Simeon
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 130
On3 RPM: Notre Dame 88.4%, Michigan 3.1%, Illinois 2.2%, Ohio State 1.8%
The Skinny: Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Illinois, Wisconsin and others are all in the mix for Christopher Burgess ahead of his commitment date. He visited Michigan for the Ohio State game after Thanksgiving, his fifth visit since June of last year. Burgess showed up at Ohio State in late November as well after it was previously thought he wouldn’t be able to make it to Columbus for a game this season. Notre Dame has also received multiple visits from the star pass rusher.
4-star CB Marcellus Barnes – 1st Quarter
School: Chattanooga (Tenn.) McCallie
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 345
On3 RPM: Syracuse 96.5%, Vanderbilt 1.3%
The Skinny: Marcellus Barnes decommitted from Virginia Tech in November and took an official visit to Syracuse in early December. The Orange lead by a significant margin in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine as new head coach Fran Brown looks to continue building momentum at ‘Cuse early on in his tenure.
4-star safety Faletau Satuala – 2nd Quarter
School: Bountiful (Utah)
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 378
On3 RPM: BYU 99.5%
The Skinny: BYU leads heavily in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine for Faletau Satuala. He officially visited Provo back in June before taking another visit this fall.
4-star safety Trajen Greco – 2nd Quarter
School: Hoschton (Ga.) Mill Creek
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 253
On3 RPM: Missouri 96.6%
The Skinny: “USC was being considered, but after Donte Williams’ move to Georgia over the weekend, the Trojans are out,” Simmons wrote last week. “Trajen Grego had a great official visit to Missouri and the Tigers continue to be in a great spot to land the former Georgia Tech commit.”
5-star CB Devin Sanchez (2025) – Halftime
School: Houston North Shore
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 6
On3 RPM: 97.6% Ohio State

The Skinny: “Five-star CB Devin Sanchez is set to reveal his college commitment on January 6 from the All-American Bowl in San Antonio. Sanchez, the No. 2 cornerback in America, played in his final game as a junior on Saturday, and now it’s a three-week race until the elite corner makes his decision,” On3 national recruiting analyst Sam Spiegelman wrote earlier this month. “Ohio State continues to trend on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, and that only continues to strengthen as the decision dates. I still like where the Buckeyes sit as January moves closer.
4-star CB Jett White (2025) – 3rd Quarter
School: Miami Edison
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 290
On3 RPM: USC 44.1%, Penn State 14.8%, Oregon 12.6%, Georgia 3.7%
The Skinny: Jett White decommitted from USC back on January 3, but has continued to visit Los Angeles since reopening his recruitment. Other visits this fall for White include trips to Oregon, Georgia and Florida.
4-star RB Daniel Hill – 4th Quarter
School: Meridian (Miss.)
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 188
On3 RPM: Alabama 84.5%, South Carolina 13.4%
The Skinny: “Four-star RB Daniel Hill is set to reveal his college decision on Jan. 6 at the All-American Bowl. Multiple SEC programs have been out in front with the Mississippi-based back in recent months,” Simmons wrote after National Signing Day. “Alabama, Tennessee, Auburn and South Carolina have all been heavily in the mix with Hill, who was in Starkville earlier this month. Alabama is still swinging heavy for the four-star back. So is South Carolina, and the Bulldogs are working hard to keep the legacy recruit inside the state of Mississippi. This recruitment has had no shortage of twists and turns, which is expected to continue into next month’s announcement.”
4-star CB Zay Mincey – 4th Quarter
School: Daytona Beach (Fla.) Mainland
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 48
On3 RPM: Alabama 84.8%, Miami 10.2%, Florida 2.8%
The Skinny: “A final decision has yet to be made by Zay Mincey a source close to his recruitment told me on Friday morning,” On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons wrote before National Signing Day. “Coaches from Alabama, Florida, Florida State and Miami were in to visit Mincey and his family this week. Miami has had the most buzz around it in recent weeks, but this could still go a couple of different ways I am told. A decision could be made by the end of the weekend, but Mincey will not announce it until Jan. 6.”
