Converse (Texas) Judson four-star wide receiver Anthony Evans has flipped his commitment from Oklahoma to Georgia, he announced on Nov. 25.

The 5-foot-10, 155-pounder had been committed to the Sooners since late August, when he chose Brent Venables and Co. over the Bulldogs.

Georgia, however, remained in contact with him, and wide receivers coach Bryan McClendon continued to press for his flip. With the Sooners’ early-season offensive struggles and Georgia’s ascent to the No. 1 ranking nationally, the momentum shifted to the Bulldogs. He took an unofficial visit to Athens as Georgia knocked off Tennessee on Nov. 5. When that happened, the prospects for his flip became more apparent.

Evans is the No. 256 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 34 wide receiver and the No. 46 player in the state of Texas.
