2026 Top-20 Anthony Thompson visiting Indiana for game vs. Winthrop
Anthony Thompson, one of the top prospects in the 2026 class, will be at Assembly Hall today to watch Indiana take on Winthrop.
Thompson, a 6-foot-7 small forward, attends Western Reserve High School in Labanon, Ohio. This is not his first time in Bloomington as he was on IU’s campus back in June for an unofficial visit.
The four-star prospect is the No. 15 overall recruit in the 2026 class, according to On3.
Michigan, Michigan State, Kentucky, Cincinnati, and Ohio State have also hosted Thompson on visits.
Thompson talks Indiana
In a previous interview with On3, Anthony Thompson discussed his thoughts on the Hoosiers.
“I have been to campus there a couple of times already,” Thompson said. “They have been recruiting me for a while, and the staff there really likes me. They tell me how I fit with their play style. They have a good team this season.
“It will be good to be able to go there and watch them play a game. I think they are playing Winthrop.”
What he’s looking for in a school
In that same previous interview with On3, Thompson also noted what he is wanting in a college program.

“I am going to be looking for player development,” Thompson said. “I want to go somewhere I have good relationships with the players and the coaches and play at a place where I can win. My goal is to play in the NBA, so I want to go somewhere that will get me prepared to play at the next level. Where I can grow as a player, and will develop me for where I want to go.
“I’m looking for a playstyle that will allow me to be me. Play for a coach who will trust me and what I can do. Where I can play the three and the four, and go somewhere I can shoot the three and have the ball in my hands to make a play. A system that will allow me to do the things I am strong at, while still getting better.”
Thomson’s On3 NIL Valuation worth over $300,000
Anthony Thompson currently holds a $366,000 On3 NIL Valuation, which ranks 55th in high school basketball.
The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets the standard market NIL value for high school and college athletes. A proprietary algorithm, the On3 NIL Valuation calculates an athlete’s NIL value using dynamic data points targeting three primary categories: performance, influence and exposure.
About On3 NIL Valuation, Brand Value, Roster Value
While the algorithm includes deal data, it does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals athletes have completed to date, nor does it set an athlete’s NIL valuation for their entire career.
The On3 NIL Valuation accounts for an athlete’s roster value and brand value. Roster value is the value an athlete has by being a member of his or her team at his or her school, which factors into the role of NIL collectives. Brand value factors in an athlete’s personal brand and the value it could bring to regional and national brands outside of the scope of NIL collectives.
