AP Poll Top 25 College Basketball Rankings released after Week 15

The newest college basketball rankings are here as the 2024-25 AP Poll Top 25 was updated after Week 15 of the season.

Following a No. 1 vs. No. 2 showdown between Auburn and Alabama, we got a new look at the rankings this week. That included some shakeups in the top 10!

With that, let’s dive into the AP Poll Top 25 rankings following Week 15 of the season.

1. Auburn

Auburn had the win of the weekend with a 94-85 victory over rival Alabama. It was the No. 1 vs. No. 2 matchup and the Tigers stayed at the top.

Johni Broome led the way with 19 points, 14 rebounds and six assists in 33 minutes. Denver Jones added 16 points and a rebound while Miles Kelly had 15 points, eight rebounds and two assists.

2. Florida (+1)

Florida dominated their way to win No. 22 with an 88-67 win over South Carolina. After leading by four at halftime, the Gators picked up the pace.

Denzel Aberdeen had 22 points, two rebounds and three assists. Thomas Haugh added to the fun with 20 points, six rebounds and three assists.

3. Duke

Duke dominated Stanford 106-70 at home Saturday to improve to 22-3 on the season. This game wasn’t even close from the get go.

Tyrese Proctor led the way with 23 points, two rebounds and four assists. Cooper Flagg added 19 points, five rebounds and six assists.

4. Alabama (-2)

Alabama fell short in topping its rival Auburn and a chance at the No. 1 spot in the AP Poll. The Crimson Tide are now 21-4 on the season.

Mark Sears led the way with 18 points, one rebound and two assists. Grant Nelson added a double-double with 12 points, 12 rebounds and one assist.

5. Houston (+1)

Houston got a ranked win over Arizona Saturday 62-58 on the road, earning their 21st win of the season. It was a big resume booster for the Cougars.

Milos Uzan put up 19 points, two rebounds and five assists. LJ Cryer added 15 points, one rebound and two assists in the win.

6. Tennessee (-1)

Tennessee avoided the upset Saturday with a comeback win over Vanderbilt, 81-76. The Vols trailed by 16 points at one point.

Zakai Zeigler put up 22 points and eight assists. Chaz Lanier added 21 points, eight rebounds and one assist and Igor Milicic contributed 10 points.

7. Texas A&M (+1)

Texas A&M outlasted Arkansas Saturday at home, beating them 69-61. So, no upset for John Calipari’s crew.

But Buzz Williams was feeling good after another win, we think. Wade Taylor IV put up 18 points, one rebound and nine assists. Zurich Phelps added 12 points, nine rebounds and one assist

8. Iowa State (+2)

Iowa State ran away in the second half, winning 81-70, after being tied at halftime with Cincinnati. The Cyclones improved to 20-5 on the season.

Curtis Jones led the way with 22 points, six rebounds and three assists. Joshua Jefferson added 13 points, seven rebounds and two assists.

9. Texas Tech (+3)

Texas Tech got their 20th win of the season with a dominant display against Oklahoma State. After building a 19 point lead at halftime, the Red Raiders ended with a 93-55 win.

JT Toppin had himself a day with 32 points, 12 rebounds and two assists. Christian Anderson added 16 points, four rebounds and two assists.

10. St. John’s (-1)

Following a midweek defeat to Villanova, St. John’s bounced back with a ranked win over Creighton, 79-73. With that victory, the Red Storm stayed in the top 10.

RJ Luis Jr. put up 23 points, 14 rebounds and five assists. Kadary Richmond had 19 points, 10 rebounds and three assists and Zuby Ejiofor added 18 points.
