Ahead of the college basketball season, the Associated Press has released their Preseason All-American Team.
After a panel of 55 media members voted, a six-man team was announced earlier this morning.
AP Men’s Preseason All-American Team

RJ Davis – North Carolina Tar Heels
Hunter Dickinson – Kansas Jayhawks
Johni Broome – Auburn Tigers
Caleb Love – Arizona Wildcats

All five members that are returning to college basketball this season were AP All-Americans in ’23-’24. Davis was on the First Team, Sears and Dickinson were on the Second Team, and Broome and Love were on the Third Team. Each of the five are fifth-year players with four of the five in their second or third years at their respective schools following a transfer.
Flagg is then notable as the lone freshman on the team as the top projected pick for the 2025 NBA Draft. Two other freshmen then received votes in Bailey and Johnson.
Each of the six selections are members of programs that enter this season in the top-dozen of the Preseason AP Top-25. The Jayhawks and Crimson are No. 1 and No. 2 respectively while the Blue Devils, Tar Heels, Wildcats, and Tigers are all from seventh through eleventh nationally coming into tip-off.
