Arizona basketball is set to bring in a monster recruiting class to Tucson next season.

Head coach Tommy Lloyd and the Wildcats landed another mammoth commitment on Wednesday as Riverside (Calif.) Roosevelt Five-Star Plus+ shooting guard Brayden Burries chose the Big 12 program over Tennessee, USC, Oregon and Alabama.

The addition of the nation’s No. 10 overall prospect gives the Wildcats four commitments in the 2025 cycle. They also now have the No. 1 class overall, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Burries sits atop the class alongside Gilbert (Ariz.) Perry Five-Star Plus+ power forward Koa Peat, who pledged last month on March 27. He’s the No. 7 overall recruit this cycle, creating an elite one-two freshman punch for Arizona next season.

Both Burries and Peat were McDonald’s All-American selections. Each bring a unique and elite skillset to the table.

“Immediately with Brayden Burries you notices the frame,” On3 senior recruiting analyst Jamie Shaw writes. “He has long arms, positional size, and wide-set shoulders that shows a projectable frame as he continues forward. Burries plays with a good pace, never rushed, and is comfortable on the ball in the half court. While he is not a dynamic paint-touch type, he can get the ball to various spots on the floor.”

On Peat: “Koa Peat has a naturally strong frame, with long arms and broad shoulders. On the ball, Peat plays with a confidence in both the half and full court. He is a good rebounder and able to push the break in transition. With his lengthy frame, there is upside on defense, especially guarding off the ball.”

Wolfeboro (N.H.) Brewster Academy four-star small forward Dwayne Aristode was the first to commit to the Wildcats this cycle as he pledged back in October. He’s no slouch, either, checking in as the nation’s No. 24 prospect and No. 7 SF.

“They have great coaches, you know, a great staff,” Aristode told On3 upon his commitment. “I like it there, it is in a warm place, so all is good with that. I really like the way they play, the way they are as a program.”

Rounding out the class is none other than Bryce James, the son of LeBron James. A three-star shooting guard prospect out of Sierra Canyon (Calif.), James committed on New Year’s Day and is the No. 211 recruit overall.

Arizona is currently one of just three teams to land multiple five-stars this cycle, alongside Houston and Arkansas. With Burries now off the board, Five-Star Plus+ SF Nate Ament, the No. 4 overall prospect, is the lone uncommitted player in the top 50 of the On3 Industry Ranking this cycle.
