Arizona LB Justin Flowe enters NCAA transfer portal

Arizona linebacker Justin Flowe is entering the NCAA transfer portal, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett. He began his career with the Oregon Ducks.

Flowe, a former consensus five-star recruit and top linebacker in his class, spent two seasons with Arizona. In 2024, he appeared in four games and did not record a stat. In 2023, however, he put up career-high numbers during his first season with the Wildcats. He recorded 45 tackles, including one sack from the linebacker position.

He spent the first two years of his career playing for Oregon. Flowe was used sparingly in Eugene and logged 15 total tackles across his two seasons with the program. However, injuries stood in the way of Flowe reaching his full potential with Oregon, and he eventually decided to transfer. Head coach Dan Lanning spoke about Flowe’s abilities during his time with the Ducks before he transferred at the end of the 2022 season.

“I love Justin’s passion and energy for the game and he carries it over and everything that he does. It’s fun to coach,” Lanning said. “I think each person gets prepared for the game in a different way. And Justin, one of his greatest strengths is his passion, right?

“I would say this for almost every person, sometimes your greatest strength can become your greatest weakness, too. So, he has to do a great job of controlling that and maintaining, and Justin has done a good job of that.”

Before college, Flowe was a Five-Star-Plus+ recruit, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, which is a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services. He was the No. 6 overall player in the 2020 recruiting class and the No. 1 overall linebacker in his cycle. At one time, he was a projected first-round draft choice.

Now, Flowe will look to find his third and final college football home for the 2025 season. It will be his final season of collegiate elgibility.
