Arizona State receives commitment from Cali OL Niniva Nicholson adding to No. 1 Big 12 class

Santa Margarita Catholic (Calif.) offensive lineman Niniva Nicholson tells On3 he has committed to Arizona State.

The 6-foot-3, 285-pound Nicholson took his official visit to ASU over the weekend and chooses to play for head coach Kenny Dillingham and his program over Cal, Stanford and several others.

“I knew ASU was the right choice right when I was around the boys!” Nicholson said. “They showed me the actual culture they have and I already felt at home and that ASU is my aiga. With the amount of Polys on the team also is huge to me because it takes a village and ASU has a great one! 

“ASU shows and doesn’t tell! Im fired up to build on what great foundation is built, and play for not just great coaches great people! Forks up. We gone eat!”

Nicholson becomes commit No. 9 for Arizona State adding to a class the On3 Industry previously ranked No. 1 in the Big 12 and No. 21 nationally. He spoke highly of his official visit over the weekend.

“ASU and playing for Coach Dillingham is definitely exciting because the true culture they have that is continuing to thrive, and a tsunami of a wave that is forming for this program is special,” Nicholson said.
