Arkansas basketball trolls Kansas after charity exhibition win
On Friday, Arkansas handily defeated preseason No. 1 Kansas 85-69 in a charity exhibition. While the win may not appear on Arkansas’ official record, the Razorbacks didn’t hesitate to rub their victory in the Jayhawks’ faces.
“Once again pleased to inform you, it’s Kansaw now,” Arkansas’ official team account wrote on X.
It was an exciting night for Arkansas fans as it was their first chance to watch their beloved Razorbacks in action under new head coach John Calipari. The Razorbacks gave fans plenty to smile about, with backcourt duo DJ Wagner and Boogie Fland combining for 46 points.
Arkansas’ guards weren’t the only ones who put on a show in the victory. Sophomore forward Zvonimir Ivisic tallied 18 points, six rebounds and five assists while shooting 5-10 from the field in the Razorbacks’ win, as well.
Arkansas also showed off stellar defense, squeezing 17 turnovers out of the Jayhawks while holding them to 30% shooting from beyond the arc. In total, the Razorbacks recorded 21 points off Kansas’ turnovers.
After the game, Kansas guard Dajaun Harris Jr. had nothing but compliments for Razorbacks freshman Boogie Fland.

Michigan vs. MSU fight
Big Ten will not punish Wolverines or Spartans following the end-of-game fight on Saturday.
“He blew up every screen, he ran through every passing lane,” Harris Jr. said. “He might be better on defense than offense. He’s a good all-around player. Coach Cal got a good point guard.”
Arkansas fans won’t have to wait long to see their squad back in action. On Friday, the Razorbacks will play their final preseason exhibition against TCU at 7 p.m. ET.
Until then, Calipari will continue to challenge his budding Arkansas squad. At SEC Media Days earlier this month, Calipari discussed the importance of his players embracing the challenge.
“Let me go somewhere where I can just go play and he’ll promise me and they’ll do this. I’m going to be the only player.’ Or do you want to go fight and take what you want? Those are the guys that come,” Calipari said. “They come here. The others don’t. That’s fine. Because at the end of the day, this is who fights. In this league.”
