Arkansas tight end Luke Hasz plans to enter NCAA transfer portal
Arkansas is losing a starter on offense to the transfer portal. Starting tight end Luke Hasz announced on Friday that he is planning to enter the transfer portal.
The sophomore caught 26 passes for 324 yards and four touchdowns in 2024, finishing third on the team in receptions and leading the Razorbacks in touchdown catches.
Hasz made his announcement on Twitter, sharing that: “Through prayer and conversations with my fiancé, parents and God, I have decided to enter the transfer portal. I can not [sic] thank Coach Pittman and Coach Turner enough. Arkansas will forever hold a place in my heart!”
Hasz signed with Arkansas as a four-star prospect and the No. 12 tight end in the country in the class of 2023, per the On3 Industry rankings.
The Oklahoma native made an immediate impact for Arkansas, catching 16 passes for 253 yards and three touchdowns in five games, before suffering a season-ending injury.
He had another excellent year in 2024 but is now entering the transfer portal and will play the 2025 season elsewhere.

Arkansas OL Patrick Kutas also entering transfer portal
In addition to Luke Hasz, Arkansas is also losing offensive lineman Patrick Kutas to the transfer portal.
Kutas appeared in 26 games over his three years in Fayetteville. He appeared in all 13 as a freshman, although mostly on special teams, and then started all nine as a sophomore on their offensive line before a season-ending injury. He then played in four, all of which were starts, this fall after coming in with a back injury. He ended up redshirting this year.
Kutas, a Memphis native, played high school football at Christian Brothers. He was the No. 267 overall recruit there as a four-star prospect in the 2022 cycle. That’s according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also rated as the No. 17 IOL in the class and the No. 8 player out of the state of Tennessee.
