Arkansas transfer wide receiver Jaedon Wilson is expected to transfer to UCLA, On3 has learned. The grad transfer visited UCLA earlier this month for the Bruins’ game with Iowa. The former four-star recruit had 15 catches for 199 yards and two touchdowns in 2023.

UCLA has been looking to add depth to its wide receiver room for the 2025 season. The Bruins have leaned heavily on senior tight end Moliki Matavao, who has 24 catches for 303 yards this season. True freshman wide receiver Kwazi Gilmer has emerged with 16 catches for 213 yards and a touchdown.

DeShaun Foster’s team knocked is 4-6 and has shown improvement in the back half of the season. Sophomore quarterback Justyn Martin has flashed in his backup role behind Ethan Garbers.

Jaedon Wilson played in 22 games with the Razorbacks and recorded 18 catches for 248 yards and two touchdowns. He played eight snaps during the Razorbacks’ season-opening win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff. He was listed third on the Arkansas depth chart behind Andrew Armstrong and Monte Harrison before his departure.

“I want to thank the University of Arkansas for providing me with an exceptional environment to grow both academically and athletically,” Wilson said in an exit statement. “I also want to give thanks and state how proud I am to be a graduate of the University of Arkansas.

“I am looking forward to the next chapter of my life as I will continue to dedicate myself to playing at the highest level of college football. I love the sport and my passion to play is greater than ever. I would like to wish the best to all the coaches and players at the University of Arkansas and I will be cheering for all of you.”

Because he is a grad transfer, Wilson was able to enter the portal before it officially opens on Monday, Dec. 9, 2024. More than 2,800 FBS scholarship players entered their names into the NCAA’s transfer database during the 2023-24 school year. Removing those who withdrew or went pro, the final total sat at 2,707 transfers. That means roughly 25% of all FBS scholarship players hit free agency in one year.
