Army vs. Navy: Predictions, best bets for America's Game
In one of college football’s greatest traditions, the season stands still for Army and Navy to play their historic rivalry game. Live from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, the game features some of the most intense fanfare of any.
ESPN’s College GameDay was on hand for the contest, with the Heisman Trophy ceremony happening just a train ride away on Saturday. The greater New York City area is the epicenter of college football at the moment.
Moreover, the Heisman finalists were even on hand for the game. Aidan Hutchinson, Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud and Kenny Pickett taking in the atmosphere, enjoying the palpable energy of the day.
As for the game itself, Army is 8-3 with a bowl game on the horizon entering. On the other hand, Navy enters 3-8 prior to their 2021 season finale. Last season, the Black Knights won the 2020 iteration — shutting Navy down, 15-0. However, it’s Navy who leads the all-time series, 61-53-7 — a 14-year win streak which spanned from 2002-15 to thank.
It’s all about what have you done for me lately, and the college football world is ready to find out who’s going to win America’s Game. Prior to the showdown, CBS Sports provided predictions and the best bets for Saturday’s game.
Army vs. Navy predictions, best bets via CBS Sports:
First, CBS Sports focused on the spread — Army is favored by seven points over Navy. Additionally, the over-under has been set at a modest 35 points.
If you’re thinking of betting the money-line, the Black Knights won’t pay as well — going off at -292 at the moment. On the other side of the field, Navy could make you some quick money, as they’re going off at +233, according to CBS Sports.

Moreover, CBS Sports adds that the total has gone under in five of Army’s last five games against the Midshipmen. Additionally, Navy is 4-1 against the spread in those games — beating Vegas even if they weren’t beating Army.
As for Army, CBS Sports believes the Black Knights can cover due to their prolific rushing attack. Also, the Midshipmen’s inability to find consistent offense could play well in Army’s favor.
Still, CBS Sports isn’t completely counting out Navy. Surprisingly, they revealed that Navy has soundly been one of the better teams against the spread thus far in 2021. Due to their likeliness to run the football, CBS Sports believes the running clock could help the Midshipmen keep it close.
In what’s always one of the top games of the season, Army and Navy means more than just football. Still, a game will be played — there’s plenty to enjoy, and plenty of bets to be made on America’s Game.
