Kaden Magwood, a four-star shooting guard in the 2025 class, tells On3 he’s committed to Auburn.

The 6-foot-1 senior out of Combine Academy (NC) ultimately chose Bruce Pearl and the Tigers over Ole Miss and NC State but also received offers from Georgia Tech, Memphis, Mississippi State, Wake Forest, USC, and others.

Magwood, a Louisville native, is the nation’s No. 62 overall prospect, No. 15 shooting guard and No. 2 recruit in North Carolina in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Magwood on his commitment to Auburn

Kaden Magwood discussed his decision with On3.

“I chose Auburn because they gave me the best feeling of a home environment. Coach BP (Bruce Pearl) and his staff have record of winning and they let their guards play.”

In his own words, what type of player is Auburn getting in Kaden Magwood?

“My game is a scoring point guard, who looks to score first, but knows how to playmaker.”

He has a message for Auburn fans.

“LET’S GO GET THIS NATTY, WAR DAMN EAGLE!”

Scouting Report

“Kaden Magwood is a volume scorer. When he is locked in, he is capable of ringing off numerous baskets in a short span of time. He has a solid handle and an understanding of space and good footwork. He is capable of manufacturing himself a clean shooting look in many situations. The ball has a tendency to stop moving when it touches his hands. He is going to need to tighten up his shot selection. Defensively, he has some ability, but he oftentimes gets beat when he is disinterested on that end. When it comes to purely on the court, getting buckets, Magwood is very talented. He has deep shooting range and has solid twitch as an athlete.” – On3’s Jamie Shaw
