Auburn CB Keionte Scott enters NCAA Transfer Portal
Auburn cornerback Keionte Scott has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, according to On3’s Pete Nakos. He will have at least one year of eligibility remaining.
Scott began his career at the junior college level before transferring to Auburn. He played primarily as a nickel in 2022 before starting at corner.
However, Scott’s role as a starter diminished in 2024, as he started just four games while playing 11.
Scott played in 33 career games at Auburn, making 23 starts in total. He had 115 tackles in that span, with six tackles for loss and one sack. He’s got 10 career interceptions, including one pick six. As a JUCO prospect in 2022, Scott was one of the top available players in the country.
Auburn added a coveted receiver out of the portal
Former Georgia Tech wide receiver Eric Singleton Jr. has signed with Auburn out of the NCAA transfer portal. He spent two years with the Yellow Jackets. Singleton visited Auburn, Ole Miss and Georgia after he decided to explore his options. After a breakout 2024, he was a sought after player in the portal.
Singleton just finished his sophomore season with the Yellow Jackets. He was their leading receiver during each of his years in Atlanta with a total of 104 catches for 1,468 yards and nine touchdowns for GT. He did have fewer touchdowns this fall with half as many at just three but did have more catches and yardage with 56 receptions for 754 yards.
Upon his entry in the portal on Monday, Singleton rated as the No. 1 overall player, including the No. 1 WR, in On3’s 2025 Top Transfer Portal Players. As of now, the prediction for Singleton’s next team is currently at a split between Georgia at 53.3% while Auburn is at 46.7% per RPM.

As a member of the Class of 2023, Singleton was a three-star recruit out of Douglasville (Ga.) Alexander, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 105 overall prospect in the state, the No. 164 wide receiver in the class and the No. 1,078 overall prospect in the class.
Now that Singleton is in the fold, Auburn has quite the playmaker going into 2025. Since QBs have to throw the ball to someone like Singleton, Freeze was honest about recruiting and portal recruiting at the position.
“I’ve told all our guys, obviously we’re really excited about our signing Deuce (Knight),” Freeze said. “I think he’s incredibly talented, and obviously I like Walker (White) and Hank (Brown) too. But you’re going to have four quarterbacks on your roster. I don’t care what school you go to, some may choose to have five, but we’re at least going to have four quarterbacks on our roster, and currently we have three.
“So we’re looking, you know, obviously, to have a fourth guy in there, and not sure exactly what that looks like right now, because not sure who all is going in the portal and all of that, but excited about getting the work with Deuce, Hank and Walker for sure. And whoever we add as that fourth guy.”
