Mobile (Ala.) Williamson On3 Industry four-star safety Jaylen Scott tells On3 he has flipped his commitment from Florida State to Auburn.

Scott had been a verbal to the Seminoles since January but now looks forward to suiting up for head coach Hugh Freeze and staying closer to home.

The Tigers have been on the 6-foot, 170-pound Scott heavy since extending a scholarship in March and now have him in the fold.

“Just everything to be honest,” Scott said of the move to Auburn. “Auburn has been treating me like a priority since before I got the offer.

“Plus the best in the state stays in the state!”

The On3 Industry tabs Scott as the nation’s No. 17 safety and No. 169 prospect overall. He becomes the first to commit to Freeze and Auburn in the 2027 class.

“It’s a passionate fan base, which creates an electric atmosphere at Jordan-Hare Stadium,” Scott said. “The program’s rich tradition, storied history and iconic rivalries, family-like atmosphere within the team also make Auburn a special place for me.”
