The nation’s top uncommitted prospect is on The Plains this weekend.

Manchester (Ga.) Five-Star Plus+ defensive lineman Justus Terry is nearing his final decision and he’s getting one more look at Auburn as it hosts Texas A&M at Jordan-Hare Stadium on Saturday night.

The Tigers have continued to hover in Terry’s recruitment and will look to pounce by delivering an electric atmosphere to the 6-foot-4.5, 275-pounder. The former Georgia and USC commit is still giving multiple programs looks down the stretch.

With a December decision on deck, the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine still heavily favors UGA to bring Terry back into its class. Texas recently had Terry on campus, too, and is trying to make a late play alongside the Tigers.

“Can Auburn make a huge move this weekend with Justus TerryGeorgia is going to be tough to beat. At one time, Auburn was a top competitor against Georgia. They are close to home. They offer playing time,” On3’s Chad Simmons wrote earlier this week. “Terry will take the visit seriously, but there is a lot of ground for the Tigers to make up. Alabama and Texas are hanging around as well.”

Terry will be surrounded by other top prospects. Birmingham (Ala.) Parker Five-Star Plus+ Ohio State cornerback commit Na’eem Offord is also expected. Five-star quarterback Deuce Knight is among the top Auburn commits that are in attendance.

Auburn currently has the No. 5 class in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Head coach Hugh Freeze and his staff will look for a final burst of momentum with the Early Signing Period less than two weeks out.

Terry is the No. 9 overall prospect and No. 2 DL in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 3 player in Georgia.

Justus Terry Scouting Summary

On3 writes this of Terry as a prospect:

“Explosive defensive lineman with a big frame and outstanding first-step quickness. Measured in at over 6-foot-4 and around 280 pounds prior to his senior season. Has good length with arms that are around 33.5 to 34 inches. Weight is evenly proportioned throughout his frame. Dominant while playing the small school level, tallying 78 tackles, 21 tackles for loss and 13 sacks. Lines up all over the defensive front at the high school level. Has the skill set to develop into a dynamic interior pass rusher. Wins with first step and lateral quickness, has rare get off and leverage for a player of his stature.

…Quality bend and ability to change direction. Uses his length to initiate contact consistently and sheds blockers with ease. Able to anchor and two-gap if needed. Will need to continue adding mass and play strength in addition to honing his technical skills. A high upside prospect given his natural traits who could develop into a true interior disruptor.”
