Auburn offers 2023 5-star QB Nicholaus Iamaleava
Auburn offered Downey (Calif.) Warren five-star quarterback Nicholaus Iamaleava late Wednesday night.
Iamaleava is the No. 3 ranked quarterback in the class of 2023 and No. 9 player on the 2023 On3 Top 100.
The offer is Nicholaus Iamaleava’s second in the past week
Nicholaus Iamaleava was in South Bend, Ind., this past weekend visiting Notre Dame. While in town, Fighting Irish offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Tommy Rees extended an offer to the California recruit.
Notre Dame impressed the 6-foot-6 signal caller, and Iamaleava told 247Sports that he plans on returning for the USC game on Oct. 23.
The Trojans have also offered Iamaleava.
Iamaleava now has 20 offers, including many from the best schools in the country. Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan State, Ohio State, Oregon, Texas A&M and UCLA have all offered the quarterback.
Iamaleava is visiting USC this weekend
Nicholaus Iamaleava’s busy week will continue when he makes the quick trip to USC to watch the Trojans take on Oregon State.
He will be one of many important recruits visiting Los Angeles Memorial Collesium in the wake of Clay Helton‘s firing.
Five-star Arlington (Texas) offensive lineman Devon Campbell — the No. 18 player in the 2022 On300 and top remaining uncommitted interior lineman — headlines the group of prospects attending.
Another interesting attendee includes Jaydn Ott, who recently received an offer from the Trojans after decommitting from Cal.

The 2023 class is loaded with top-tier QB talent
Nicholaus Iamaleava is not the only five-star quarterback recruit in the class of 2023.
New Orleans Isidore Newman’s Arch Manning and Los Alamitos (Calif.) High’s Malachi Nelson rank as the No. 1 and No. 2 players in the 2023 On3 Top 100.
There are no five-star quarterbacks in the class of 2022 with four-star Drew Allar slotting in as the No. 1 player at the position.
Nelson is committed to Oklahoma.
Manning, on the other hand, is one of the most sought-after recruits in years. The grandson of former NFL starter and All-American Archie Manning and nephew of Pro Football Hall of Famer Peyton Manning and two-time Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning, Arch is being built up as the next star of the family football dynasty.
As a result, his visits are developing tremendous fanfare.
Iamaleava’s athleticism sets him apart
Nicholaus Iamaleava is off to a start high school season. He has thrown for 1,242 yards and 20 touchdowns with just one interception.
Off the football field, Iamaleava is one of the best volleyball players in Southern California.
On3’s Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power says you can see his volleyball skills transfer into his coordination and movement on the football field.
He still has room to grow in refining his game, Power added, but the physical upside is tremendous.
“Nicholaus Iamaleava is one of the more physically talented signal callers in the 2023 cycle,” Power said “I had a chance to see him throw in person at Clemson’s camp back in June. He’s a tall, fluid athlete with a strong arm. Several top 2023 quarterbacks threw at that camp, including Arch Manning. I thought Iamaleava had the best arm strength and velocity on his throws of everyone there.”
