Former Auburn defensive lineman TJ Lindsey will transfer to play for Purdue in 2025, On3’s Pete Nakos reported. Lindsey was a true freshman this past season and brings four years of eligibility with him to West Lafayette.

Lindsey saw minimal action this past season to record one tackle as he took a redshirt. He’ll look to provide some much needed help to a Boilermakers squad that finished just 1-11 and failed to win a Big Ten game in 2024.

As a recruit, Lindsey was a four-star prospect coming out of IMG Academy (FL) in the 2024 class. He ranked as the No. 383 overall player and No. 36 defensive lineman in the cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Additionally, he ranks as the No. 646 overall player and No. 52 defensive lineman according to On3’s Transfer Portal Player Rankings. He is the 27th addition for Purdue through the portal and the second defensive lineman.

The Boilermakers fired coach Ryan Walters and hired UNLV coach Barry Odom this offseason as his replacement. We’ll see what he can accomplish in his inaugural season, but he’s building a solid transfer class that now includes Lindsey.

Arkansas QB transfer Malachi Singleton commits to Purdue

Former Arkansas quarterback Malachi Singleton has committed to Purdue, he tells On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

Singleton is best remembered this past season for scoring the game-winning rushing touchdown in the Razorbacks’ upset win over No. 4 Tennessee earlier this season. He finished the year 21 of 28 passing for 358 yards and a touchdown.

Singleton was a highly-touted four-star quarterback in the 2023 recruiting class. An Elite 11 finalist, he was the No. 23 quarterback in his class and the No. 373 player overall, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, which is a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services.

As a junior at North Cobb High School, Singleton passed for 2,348 yards with 24 touchdowns. He also rushed for 1,037 yards and 25 more scores to help elevate him on recruiting boards. He chose Arkansas over UCF and Georgia during his high school recruitment.
