Arkansas quarterback Austin Ledbetter entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3’s Pete Nakos has learned. He also pitched for the Razorbacks’ baseball team before leaving the program to focus on football in December 2023.

Ledbetter joined the Arkansas football program in 2024 after announcing his decision to leave baseball. In two years on the mound for the Razorbacks, he made 22 appearances, including two starts. He had an 0-1 record with a 5.45 ERA over 39.2 innings pitched.

Ledbetter didn’t play a football game for the Razorbacks, but had a decorated high school career at Bryant (Ark.) before arriving as part of the 2021 recruiting class. He threw for more than 6,000 yards and 82 touchdowns as he finished 26-0, leading the program to two state championships.

Austin Ledbetter is the latest transfer portal departure for Arkansas this week. Earlier Tuesday, offensive lineman Zuri Madison also hit the open market, but Ledbetter is also the second notable quarterback to transfer.

Madden Iamaleava, who signed with Arkansas as part of the 2025 cycle, entered the portal Tuesday and is expected to commit to UCLA, as On3’s Pete Nakos confirmed. Iamaleava’s brother, Nico, announced his commitment to UCLA earlier this week following his departure from Tennessee amid NIL negotiations.

“He’s done really well, especially coming off his – you know, he didn’t play his senior year,” said Arkansas coach Sam Pittman of Madden Iamaleava. “Very mature. Well-coached out of high school. And, but, yeah, I think he’s made a ton of improvement and I think you’ll see that throughout the rest of the spring and then, you know, the summer and, and fall camp.”

Iamaleava is a Long Beach native and played high school football at Downey (Calif.) Warren, where he was a four-star recruit. He was the No. 377 overall player and No. 24-ranked quarterback from the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

All told, Arkansas has lost 35 players to the transfer portal across the winter and spring windows. The Razorbacks also have 25 players coming in, headlined by former Georgia Tech offensive lineman Corey Robinson – the No. 66 overall player in the On3 Industry Transfer Rankings.
