Florida 4-star 2025 QB commit Austin Simmons flips to Ole Miss, will reclassify to 2023
Moore Haven (Fla.) four-star quarterback and 2025 Florida commit Austin Simmons has flipped his commitment to Ole Miss and will reclassify to the 2023 class, he announced on Saturday.
The 6-foot-1, 180-pounder is the No. 72 overall prospect and No. 4 quarterback in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is yet to be rated as a Class of 2023 recruit by any service.
He joins an Ole Miss class that ranked No. 25 nationally in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings but did not have a 2023 quarterback commit. The Rebels added LSU transfer passer Walker Howard and Oklahoma State transfer Spencer Sanders during the offseason to a quarterback room that already included 2022 starter Jaxson Dart.
