The field of eight of the 2023 Battle 4 Atlantis tournament is set, according to Jon Rothstein. North Carolina, Villanova, Michigan, Arkansas, Memphis, Oklahoma, Stanford and Northern Iowa will headline the event in two seasons.

Heading into its 11th year, the Battle 4 Atlantis is regarded as one of the most grueling early-season tournaments of the college basketball season, and remains one of the most sought after commodities for teams looking to see what they’re made of heading into December.

For now, the 2022 field will see the likes of Butler, BYU, Dayton, Kansas, NC State, USC, Tennessee and Wisconsin duke it out for this upcoming season’s crown. The tournament, as is tradition, is set to be played over the Thanksgiving holiday in the Bahamas.

Wisconsin men’s, women’s basketball teams planning doubleheader at MLB stadium

The Wisconsin Badgers men’s and women’s basketball teams have scheduled one of the most unique doubleheaders in sports history as they travel to Milwaukee to play non-conference games inside a baseball stadium. Billed as the “Brew City Battle,” the Milwaukee Brewers’ American Family Field will serve as the host for two games on Nov. 11.

Wisconsin men’s basketball will play Stanford, while the women’s basketball team will face Kansas State. Game times and television assignments will be announced at a later date. In addition, Wisconsin announced there will be a return date for both games, with details coming in the future.

The graphic put out by the Milwaukee Brewers includes temporary seating on the side of the court which faces the outfield, along with courtside seats on the remaining three sides across the infield. The design shows an elevated floor which places mid-court just above the pitcher’s mound and both baselines inside the corner bags.

“Playing a game at American Family Field has been a vision for quite some time and I am so excited to see it become a reality,” Wisconsin coach Greg Gard said in a statement, via ESPN.

Tickets for the unique event will go on sale on July 26. It will be the first time a college basketball game is played at an MLB ballpark since 2015, when the San Diego Padres played host to San Diego and San Diego State and experienced many difficulties.
