Baylor, Creighton commits headline five undervalued 2022 prospects
Baylor and Creighton are two programs expected to sign undervalued prospects beginning Wednesday.
The defending National Champion Bears are becoming an international recruiting force with the success of Scott Drew. And big man Joshua Ojianwuna (NBA Global Academy) could be their most talented foreign recruit yet.
Creighton’s on-court success has been key in helping keep the state’s second-ranked prospect home. Versatile forward Jasen Green will be an impact, multi-year starter for the hometown university.
Five undervalued prospects On3 is high on
Joshua Ojianwuna, C, NBA Global Academy (via Ireland)
On3 ranking: 4-star (90)
The 6-foot-10, 230-pound rim protector is a powerful two-foot leaper. He finishes with powerful dunks in traffic. He has a strong body that absorbes, and plays through contact. His long arms add to the powerful explosion off the floor to make for high percentage finishes. Can body up in the paint defensively, but also possesses the agility to defend in the pick and roll game. Will be shot changer. Runs the floor and moves like a fluid athlete with NBA size. With Flo Thamba likely to move on after this season, Ojianwuna has the opportunity to make an instant impact. On3 sees a multi-year starter for the Bears. He will make his way into the On3 Top 100 in the next update.
Jasen Green, SF, Omaha (Neb.) Millard North
On3 ranking: 4-star (90)
Green was a huge recruiting win for Creighton. Recruiting still comes down to keeping the best players home, or in state. Green will be an impact player, and multi-year starter for the Bluejays with versatility to excel at the college level. He is legit 6-foot-7 combo forward that can do a bit of everything. Green is comfortable with the ball and can play without the ball. Has the versatility to be an effective stretch four, or play small forward in a big lineup. Moves and cuts with a high basketball IQ. Makes the correct play a high percentage of the time. Smooth stroke on the catch, or off one or two hard dribbles. Understands how to create space. Overcomes lack of ideal wingspan with high end skill level and feel.

Bobi Klintman, F, Sunrise Christian (via Sweden)
On3 ranking: 4-star (90)
The skilled 6-foot-8.5 forward was big recruiting win for Maryland after garnering early offers from Virginia, Kansas and others. Highly skilled and quick for his height. Can stroke the three from NBA range with a high release. Runs the floor with fluidity. Doesn’t hesitate to attack downhill off the bounce. Comfortable with the ball. Sees the floor off the bounce. Klintman is a perfect college basketball stretch four. Doesn’t shy away from physical play on the block defensively. Length provides the ability to change shots. Will move into the On3 top 100 on the next update.
Devin Ceasar, PG, Waldorf (Md.) St. Stephens & St. Agnes
On3 ranking: 3-star (88)
The high-end athletic point guard will be hell on wheels for Buffalo in the MAC. The 6-foot-1 guard is one of the more underrated prospects in the 2022 cycle. He’s blessed with elite explosion off the floor. Head near the rim two foot leaper. Quick and fast with the ball. Can explode past defenders to the rim. Finishes straight line drives above the rim. Flashes a developing floater in traffic. Will convert catch and shoot three’s. Initial quickness off the bounce creates separation, and gets defenders on their heels. Sees the floor well. Quick hands and reactions on the defensive end.
Sadiku Ayo, SF, Bronx (N.Y.) Our Saviour Lutheran School
On3 ranking: 3-star (88)
Rick Pitino has been one of college basketball best talent evaluators for two decades, and he has another gem in the 2022 cycle. Make no mistake, this is a high-major talent headed to play for Iona. Ayo is a skilled 6-foot-6.5 small forward with long arms and above the rim finishing ability. He is comfortable playing on the perimeter with a smooth stroke out to 22-feet. Can finish with his left hand in traffic. Strong body to absorb, and play through contact. Will rebound outside his area. Will be a combo forward weapon for Pitino.
