Baylor, former Oklahoma State RB Dominic Richardson enters NCAA transfer portal
Baylor running back and former Oklahoma State standout Dominic Richardson has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3’s Pete Nakos has learned.
Richardson has spent the last five years plying his trade in the Big 12, though he appeared in just four games for the Bears this fall. He suffered an injury during the season and never returned, perhaps to preserve a redshirt for another year of eligibility.
But the track record has shown Dominic Richardson can play when he’s healthy.
Across five seasons in college, he has rushed for 1,767 yards and 16 touchdowns, while also accounting for 52 catches for 457 yards and a score.
Dominic Richardson produced a pair of campaigns topping 500 yards rushing in 2022 and 2023.
He spent the first three years of his career at Oklahoma State, where he slowly worked his way into the mix. He logged 44 carries for 223 yards and three touchdowns as a freshman in 2020.
The following year, Dominic Richardson tallied 79 carries for 373 yards and four touchdowns. He hit his high water mark a year later in 2022, when he went for 149 carries for 543 yards and a career-high eight touchdowns.

He then transferred to Baylor.
In his first season with the Bears, Dominic Richardson logged 125 carries for 519 yards and a touchdown. He also caught 21 passes for 152 yards and a score.
Now, as he looks to put another season in the books, Richardson will vie for a new landing spot via the NCAA transfer portal.
Prior to enrolling at Oklahoma State, Dominic Richardson was ranked as a three-star prospect by 247Sports, ESPN and Rivals. On3 did not provide an evaluation out of high school. Richardson carried an 86.80 On3 Industry Ranking.
