More info on the preseason All-Big 12 selections
Dickinson is the most high-profile of the players on the preseason awards, a bona fide star at Michigan before transferring to Kansas this offseason. He’s got loads of production to go with his experience.
The former Michigan center averaged at least 14.1 points and 7.4 rebounds per game in each of his three seasons in Ann Arbor, Mich. He checked in at 18.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game a year ago, to go along with 1.8 blocks and 1.5 assists per game. He’ll be an immediate and forceful presence in the frontcourt.
Abmas could have a similar impact, albeit in a very different way, at Texas. He transferred in from Oral Roberts after four seasons. Abmas averaged 21.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game for Oral Roberts last season.
Rounding out the frontcourt on the All-Big 12 preseason team is TCU’s Emanuel Miller. He’s also a transfer but has been with the Horned Frogs for the last two years. He averaged 12.3 points and 6.5 rebounds per game a year ago.
The college basketball season officially begins on Nov. 6.
