Conference realignment gives Big 12 new look

After expanding last season, the Big 12 will again add four teams starting with the 2024 season. The conference is bringing in the “Four Corners” schools as the Pac-12 effectively split after a media rights deal fell through.

Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado and Utah will all join the fold, taking the Big 12 to 16 teams. It’s part of the league’s new look as Oklahoma and Texas head to the SEC and four programs – BYU, Cincinnati, Houston and UCF – enter their second seasons as Big 12 members.

The new additions will become official in July, and training camp will begin shortly thereafter. Then, Week 0 looms at the end of August as college football makes its return.
