Big 12 Conference announces slate of Friday games for 2025 football season

The Big 12 Conference has announced its slate of Friday games for the 2025 college football season. Some fascinating conference matchups will take center stage, with rivalries new and old being renewed in the process.

Check out the full list of games below, as the conference announced the schedule via a press release on Friday. Network designations and kick-off times for these games will be announced at a later date, but these are the matchups that’ll grace our screens.

• Friday, Aug. 29 – Georgia Tech at Colorado
• Friday, Aug. 29 – Auburn at Baylor
• Friday, Sept. 12 – Colorado at Houston
• Friday, Sept. 12 – Kansas State at Arizona
• Friday, Sept. 19 – Tulsa at Oklahoma State
• Friday, Sept. 26 – TCU at Arizona State
• Friday, Oct. 3 – West Virginia at BYU
• Friday, Nov. 7 – Houston at UCF
• Friday, Nov. 28 – Arizona at Arizona State
• Friday, Nov. 28 – Utah at Kansas

As you can tell, there are some awesome showdowns on the calendar for the Big 12’s showcase on Friday evenings. It’ll all begin Week 1, when there’s a bit of a two-for-one special, as Georgia Tech travels to Boulder to take on Colorado, while Auburn will head to Waco to face Baylor.

Afterwards, there’s some juicy games littered throughout the season. Colorado will be back in action on the road against Houston on Sept. 12, where Deion Sanders will be hoping to have his team humming, while Willie Fritz is looking to notch a win for his Cougars over the Buffaloes.

Additionally, Arizona at Arizona State on Nov. 28 will be one of the more heated Friday night games of the season. The Wildcats and the Sun Devils always bring the heat when they play each other, and even on the day after Thanksgiving, that’ll certainly be the case between the two former PAC-12 squads. 

Of course, it’s anyone’s guess how the season will shake out in the Big 12, as last season’s rise of Arizona State proved. Heading into the season, FanDuel released betting lines on who will win the 2025 Big 12 Championship, and two teams are tied for the top spot — one being a founding member, and one of the Big 12’s latest additions.

Kansas State and the aforementioned Sun Devils are both +550 to end up on top at the end of the season. Up next is BYU and Baylor at +700. You can check out the full list of odds here, but it’s evident there will be plenty of parity in the Big 12 in 2025. 

Time will tell what teams rise above in the conference, but the Big 12 should be a wild ride this coming season. We now know there Friday slate, and we can’t wait to see what they do on the field when a new campaign officially gets underway, and the pressure rises.
