Big Ten announces schedule change to Thursday slate of games at Charles Schwab Field

The Big Ten Conference announced Thursday’s slate of Big Ten Tournament games inside Charles Schwab Field in Omaha will now include a fourth game due to inclement weather in the forecast.

Thursday’s previously-scheduled games will all be moved up an hour, with the first game between Michigan and UCLA now set for 9 am CT. The second game between USC and Penn State will begin at 1 pm, while the OregonMichigan State game will start at 5 pm.

The league is also moving the final pool play game between third-seeded Iowa and Indiana, originally slated for Friday, will now start at 9 pm CT, Thursday. All four games Thursday will be televised on the Big Ten Network.

By virtue of its 4-3 win over Rutgers on Wednesday night, the third-seeded Hawkeyes won Pool C and have already locked up a spot in the Big Ten Tournament semifinals Saturday, where Iowa will play the Pool B winning Bruins at 6 pm CT. The other semifinal will be finalized over the next two days of games.
