Big Ten reveals full list of opponents, protected rivalries for 2025

Shortly after the Big Ten revealed its new scheduling model as it moves to 16 teams in 2024, the league also revealed each team’s opponents for 2025. A nine-game schedule will remain in place as USC and UCLA enter the league starting with the 2024 campaign.

As part of the “Flex Protect” model, the Big Ten will honor traditional “protected” rivalries. All told, 11 matchups will remain in tact, including Michigan vs. Ohio State and USC vs. UCLA. It’s all part of a new era for the Big Ten with not only two huge additions in the Trojans and Bruins, but with a new commissioner in Tony Petitti and a huge media rights deal taking effect this coming season.

Here’s who each team will play during the 2025 campaign, as the Big Ten announced in conjunction with its 2024 slate. Protected rivalries are noted with an asterisk.
