The Big Ten basketball tournament has a clearer picture after Monday’s slate of basketball games. The latest projected seeds, schedule and magic numbers are available as teams fight for positioning in the conference tournament.
There are roughly two games left for every team in the conference.

Purdue has a 93% chance to grab the No. 1 seed in the Big Ten. After some wackiness over the weekend, Maryland has a 3% chance to grab the top spot and Northwestern and Indiana have a 2% chance. Michigan has a less than 1% chance.

Only Purdue controls its own destiny for the top seed in the Big Ten. The Boilermakers’ magic number to clinch the top spot is down to one.
As far as the bottom five teams in the conference, their highest probability of finish might surprise you. Minnesota can finish as high as No. 13, the same goes for Ohio State. WIsconsin can finish as high as No. 7 and Penn State and Nebraska can finish as high as No. 6.
