In Week 6…

+ Michigan State will have to play its second straight game against a Big Ten title contender. In Week 5, the Spartans are hosting No. 3 Ohio State. Then they’ll make the trip out west to face No. 8 Oregon.

+ UCLA will go east to take on Penn State. The Bruins have already had away games at Hawaii and LSU. They’re hosting Oregon in Week 5 before hitting the road again.

+ Purdue will travel to Camp Randall Stadium to play Wisconsin. After that, the Boilermakers continue a gauntlet, with four of their next five games coming against AP top-20 teams.

+ Northwestern will host Indiana, once again using the Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium, right by the shores of Lake Michigan. If the Hoosiers beat Maryland in Week 5, they’ll enter Evanston 5-0.

+ Rutgers will make the trip to Lincoln to go head-to-head with Nebraska. Ahead of Week 5, the Scarlet Knights and Cornhuskers have just one loss between them — and that Nebraska defeat came in overtime this past weekend. These are two of the most notable upstart squads in the Big Ten this year.

+ Michigan will head out to Washington in what’s a rematch of last season’s national title game. That said, both the Wolverines and Huskies look significantly different than they did last January because of roster and coaching staff turnover.

+ USC will play at Minnesota, where the Golden Gophers have played each of their first four games (they’re just 2-2 in those contests). Minnesota will be on the road at Michigan in Week 5 before returning to Minneapolis to welcome in the Trojans.
