Biggest risers in the On3 2022 updated player rankings
This is the final On3 rankings update for the class of 2022. Even with the last update in mid-February, there were some major shifts, with playoffs, championships, and post-season all-star events.
Here are some of the biggest movers in On3’s 2022 updated player rankings.
PF Leonard Miller
Leonard Miller is a 6-10, 210-pound forward from Fort Erie (CAN) International Academy.
New On3 Ranking: 2
Previous On3 Ranking: 11
Status: Declared for NBA draft while maintaining college eligibility. Arizona and Kentucky were his final two colleges.
On3 NIL Valuation: $12,300
Scouting Report: Lefty. Has a strong frame, broad shoulders, and long arms. Is comfortable on the ball and able to initiate in the half-court. Plays with great balance and sees the floor. The form on the jump-shot is unorthodox, but he makes them at a high clip. Grew from 6-4 to 6-10 over the last 18 mos. Is an active rebounder. Comfortable being an alpha with the ball in his hands. Like to see him develop off the ball. Upside to defend multiple positions. Will be at his best as a mismatch big, exploiting matchups. A double-double threat. Leading Grind Session and Canada in scoring as a senior (32ppg). While he is very productive, there is still some intriguing upside to go.
C Kel’el Ware
Kel’el Ware is a 7-0, 210-pound center from North Little Rock (AR) High.
New On3 Ranking: 6
Previous On3 Ranking: 17
Status: Signed with Oregon
On3 NIL Valuation: $19,000
Scouting Report: It’s the natural tools that pop. The length is elite. Is quick off the floor with both his first and second jumps. Natural timing as a shot blocker. Needs strength, still raw. Offensively he does have touch; he makes his free throws. Can step out and knock down threes but, at this point, is better in the dunker spots and as a rim-runner. Can drift in and out of games, take some plays off. A willing rebounder relies on being bigger than opponent rather than establishing position. Some will question how tough he is. Not a finished product, there is some growth still to go here, but with patience, there could be a big reward in the end.
SF Cam Whitmore
Cam Whitmore is a 6-6, 200-pound wing forward from Severn (MD) Archbishop Spaulding.
New On3 Ranking: 7
Previous On3 Ranking: 28
Status: Signed with Villanova
On3 NIL Valuation: $23,000
Scouting Report: Is strong and very explosive. One of the most explosive players in the country gets high above the rim. Is best in transition. The projection is as a switchable and high-motor defender. Needs to develop the jump shot both off the bounce and the catch. His skill set plays best when his motor runs hot; the motor can be up and down at times. Chases offensive rebounds. Needs to continue developing the handle. Good off-ball cutter. Wildly productive. Is young for his class.
SG Anthony Black
Anthony Black is a 6-5, 185-pound guard from Duncanville (TX) High.
New On3 Ranking: 9
Old On3 Ranking: 22
Status: Committed to Arkansas
On3 NIL Valuation: $40,000
Scouting Report: Has a basketball player’s frame. Broad shoulders, very projectable once he gets into a college strength and conditioning program. Game can be very smooth. Is solid off the bounce, in short bursts, in the half-court. Can knock down shots extending out the three. Has confidence on the ball as a secondary ball-handler. Needs to continue gaining strength, which may help him give more consistent performances. Dad played football at a high level. Plays above the rim in transition. Can see the floor.
SF Julian Phillips
Julian Phillips is a 6-8, 200-pound small forward from Branson (MO) Link Academy. He is originally from Columbia, South Carolina.
New On3 Ranking: 14
Old On3 Ranking: 23
Status: Un-committed; has officially visited Southern Cal, Auburn, and Tennessee. De-committed from LSU.
On3 NIL Valuation: $12,600
Scouting Report: Has good positional size with natural length. A quick leaper with explosive pop. Very instinctive offensive rebounder has a nose for extra possessions. Needs to continue gaining strength, especially in his base and core—attacks closeouts well in straight lines. Jump shot is becoming a reliable weapon off the catch. Like to see him get into his shot off the bounce a little quicker. Plays upright off the bounce. Good off-ball cutter. High IQ player, give great effort. Plays well off one and two dribbles.
SF Tyrell Ward
Tyrell Ward is a 6-7, 185-pound wing from Hyattsville (MD) Dematha Catholic.
New On3 Ranking: 18
Old On3 Ranking: 26
Status: Committed to LSU
On3 NIL Valuation: $7,900
Scouting Report: Explosive, downhill wing. He has good length and positional size. Over his last year, he has developed a lot as a shot creator. Good in the mid-range has good footwork off the bounce. Confident. Has touch, especially in the mid-range. He will need to continue putting on strength. The jump shot from three can be streaky from deep. Is a quiet person by nature, but he plays with a passion.
C Tarris Reed
Tarris Reed is a 6-9, 235-pound post player from Branson (MO) Link Academy. He is originally from St. Louis, Missouri.
New On3 Ranking: 26
Old On3 Ranking: 42
Status: Signed with Michigan
On3 NIL Valuation: $13,500
Scouting Report: Big and strong post player. Has excellent hands. Soft-touch, very passer friendly. Comfortable scoring over both shoulders. Multiple go-to moves on the block. Has developed counters he is comfortable with. The lateral ability and quick-twitch will be a question. Is explosive when he gets to load. Has range that extends out to three for pick and pop situations. Sets great screens. A tough, active rebounder. Competes. Makes his free throws. Wish he was an inch or two taller. Shooting ability, IQ, and sturdiness could take him far in this game.

SG DJ Jefferson
DJ Jefferson is a 6-5, 200-pound shooting guard from Minneapolis (MN) Minnesota Prep. He is originally from Texas.
New On3 Ranking: 45
Old On3 Ranking: Unranked
Status: Un-committed
On3 NIL Valuation: $9,300
Scouting Report: Lefty has a smooth floor game. Compact frame with burst at the rim. A shot-maker. Has a smooth shot from three. Attacks closeouts right and left. Can get up on the rim. Consistent effort has been his main question mark. Upside to be an adequate defender both on and off the ball. Is comfortable handling the ball in the half-court. Good balance when attacking the basket. Can finish at the rim from multiple angles. Has a lot of tools in his bag.
SF Brice Sensabaugh
Brice Sensabaugh is a 6-5, 225-pound wing from Orlando (FL) Lake Highland Prep.
New On3 Ranking: 52
Old On3 Ranking: 69
Status: Signed with Ohio State
On3 NIL Valuation: NA
Scouting Report: Strong, sturdily built wing. Plays with a lot of confidence on the ball. Can really score it. Three levels. The jump shot is smooth and repeatable. He has deep range and is consistent off the bounce or the catch. The lateral movement and overall quick-twitch will be the question. He does have some explosion in straight lines. Can get tunnel vision toward the rim but has such a natural feel to score. Plays with a great pace. Good feet. Knows how to get to his spots and create space.
CG Desmond Claude
Desmond Claude is a 6-5, 180-pound guard from Putnam (CT) Science Academy.
New On3 Ranking: 71
Old On3 Ranking: 126
Status: Committed to Xavier
On3 NIL Valuation: NA
Scouting Report: Desmond Claude is a strong-framed guard who is capable of playing on the ball or off the ball. At 6-3, Claude is a smooth shooter with touch and range. He has average pop and explosion but understands pace and angles. Claude can get into the paint and absorb contact; he can finish at various angles around the basket. Claude is a good passer, has good vision, and can run some sets in the half-court through him. Is a better team defender than a point-of-attack defender. More of an at the rim, not above the rim athlete. Is best suited as a secondary ball-handler and an off-ball initiator.
PF Jorge Diaz
Jorge Diaz is a 6-11, 210-pound forward from Bradenton (FL) IMG Academy- Academic. He is originally from the Canary Islands.
New On3 Ranking: 76
Old On3 Ranking: 143
Status: Un-committed
On3 NIL Valuation: NA
Scouting Report: Jorge is a smooth shooting forward who, at 6-11, could be a wing long-term. He can create his own shot in the half-court, using a crafty and decisive dribble. The jump shot is pure, both off the bounce or the stand-still. He will need to continue adding strength, with that will come more consistency on the defensive end. But the instincts are there. Jorge moves fluidly in space, has wiggle, and can move his feet.
SF Prince Aligbe
Prince Aligbe is a 6-6, 195-pound wing from Minneapolis (MN) Minnehaha Academy.
New On3 Ranking: 93
Old On3 Ranking: 117
Status: Signed with Boston College
On3 NIL Valuation: $17,200
Scouting Report: Strong frame with long arms and broad shoulders. Moves well, straight-line burst and laterally. Is vocal on defense; directs traffic, always talking and pointing. Can knock down a catch and shoot three. Like to see him develop more off the bounce; right now is ok with one or two dribbles. Is a good rebounder. Instinctive in the passing lanes. Can get on the rim in transition—the type who fills in a lot of gaps, a connective type player.
