It had been over six months since On3 rolled out its class of 2022 player rankings, so it was time for a well-needed revamp. When the rankings debuted in August of last year, 100 players were listed. On3 has now added an additional 50 spots, with now 150 ranked prospects in the senior class.

There were some major shifts in the update, including nine new five-stars, and 23 new additions within the top 100.

Updated 2022 On3 Top 150

Here are your biggest risers.

PF Kyle Filipowski

Wilbraham & Monson Academy (Mass.)
New On3 Ranking: 1
Previous On3 Ranking: 14
Signed to Duke

There is a new No. 1 overall prospect in town, and his name is Kyle Filipowski. The versatile 6-foot-11 big man has continuously boosted his stock throughout his senior year of high school at Wilbraham & Monson Academy. Previously ranked 14th overall, the Duke signee moved up 13 spots and takes the crown as the No. 1 player in the class.

SF Dillon Mitchell

Montverde Academy (Fla.)
New On3 Ranking: 2
Previous On3 Ranking: 20
Signed to Texas

Let’s make something clear… Dillon Mitchell has been absolutely incredible during his senior season at powerhouse Montverde Academy. The Texas signee showcases a freakish athleticism, the ability to defend and block shots at a high level, and knock down the open shot. The 6-foot-7 wing has NBA lottery written all over him, and the Florida native has immense potential.

PF Jarace Walker

IMG Academy (Fla.)
New On3 Ranking: 7
Previous On3 Ranking: 32
Signed to Houston

At 6-foot-8 and 220 pounds, Jarace Walker is a man amongst boys. In the majority of games Walker participates in, it’s clear his opponent is unmatched. Despite being listed as a power forward, the Houston signee is versatile and far from your traditional big man. While he can play with his back to the basket, Walker brings so much more to the table. He has the ability to handle the ball when needed, knock down the mid-range fade away, and his athleticism is off the charts for a player of his size. Walker’s motor has greatly improved during his senior season at IMG.

SF Leonard Miller

Fort Erie International Academy (Canada)
New On3 Ranking: 11
Previous On3 Ranking: NR
Uncommitted

Making his first debut in any of the four major recruiting rankings is Leonard Miller at 11th overall. The Canadian forward has become a target for both the college and pro ranks. Seven NBA teams were in to see him during the National Prep  School Invitational earlier this month, along with G-League Ignite Director Rod Strickland. Kansas, Alabama, LSU, and others have all extended offers. At 6-foot-10 and a 7-3 wingspan, Miller has guard skills.

SG Riley Kugel

Dr. Phillips (Fla.)
New On3 Ranking: 43
Previous On3 Ranking: NR
Signed to Mississippi State

Riley Kugel has made one most of the most impressive jumps we’ve seen in this class, making an appearance in the top 50 after previously being unranked.

On3’s Jamie Shaw writes: “At 6-5, Kugel has long arms and a physically developed frame. He is comfortable on the ball, showcasing great vision to set up his teammates and his jump shot extends well beyond the arc. His explosion has become a weapon as he gets past his man and is a threat to get on the rim when he touches the paint.”

SF Tyrell Ward

DeMatha Catholic (Md.)
New On3 Ranking: 26
Previous On3 Ranking: 64
Signed to Xavier

Tyrell Ward is another prospect that’s vastly improved over the last year, jumping 38 spots in the updated rankings.

On3’s Jamie Shaw writes: “The 6-foot-5 wing has always been an aggressive downhill offensive weapon, but his shot creation has taken a big step. The Hyattsville (MD) Dematha Catholic senior is lengthy and explosive and has developed an alpha mentality on the floor.”

SF Tre White

Prolific Prep (Calif.)
New On3 Ranking: 27
Previous On3 Ranking: 74
Signed to USC

Another major jump comes from Tre White, climbing 47 spots.

On3’s Jamie Shaw writes: “White had a good summer with Strive for Greatness on Nike’s EYBL circuit. He showed playmaking ability out of the pick and roll. A transfer to Napa (Calif) Prolific Prep for his senior season showed he could consistently be an alpha against the nation’s top competition. The 6-foot-6 wing is a strong and explosive physical presence. He attacks the rim confidently and can create offense.”
