Biggest Risers

On3 released its latest iteration of the 2024 On300 on Monday. With the latest update, a number of top prospects saw their rankings shift.

A few, however, made particularly large jumps after the latest evaluations from On3’s scouting and rankings team. Multiple prospects jumped into the top-300 from outside the rankings completely, and a handful more moved up by more than 75 spots. Below are some of the biggest risers in the latest update.

4-star CB Kam Mikell

On300 Ranking: No. 56
Previously Ranking: Unranked
School: Statesboro (Ga.)
On3 RPM: Georgia 90.8%, South Carolina 2.8%, Georgia Tech 1.3%, Florida 1.1%

Kam Mikell is arguably the best athlete or has the best athletic profile among corner prospects when you stack him up within that group. He’s a guy who ran a 10.50 100-meter dash as a sophomore. Mikell has phenomenal speed, but he’s got good size as well. He’s 6-foot-0, 180 pounds and continuing to get better. Just from a size and speed perspective, he checks those boxes, which is very important at the corner position. This is a guy who plays all over the field for his school at Statesboro High. He was an 1,000 yard rusher as a sophomore, plays defense, does a little of everything. He worked out at receiver at the Under Armour Atlanta Camp. He’s a guy who is a very good overall football player… Given he dedicates his time and focuses on playing defensive back at the college level, we really like the upside.” — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings

4-star RB Caden Durham

On300 Ranking: No. 95
Previous Ranking: No. 225
School: Duncanville (Texas)
On3 RPM: Oklahoma 91.6%, LSU 2.7%, SMU 1.2%, Alabama 1.0%
Caden Durham stars for Duncanville, who won the state title in Texas’ highest classification this past fall. He was their most productive player on offense, running for close to 2,000 yards and 36 touchdowns as a junior. He’s run 10.49 seconds in the 100-meter dash this spring. He’s a shorter running back at around 5-foot-9, but has a very compact, stout build at 195 pounds. He’s a guy who has filled out. Relative to a lot of other speed backs, he’s thicker and he’s so productive, so we like the build and the speed.” — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings

4-star EDGE Cheta Ofili — Texas Tech commit

On300 Ranking: No. 141
Previous Ranking: Unranked
School: Sachse (Texas)
Cheta Ofili is one of the most athletic EDGE prospects in the cycle. He was phenomenal at the Under Armour Dallas Camp. He really wowed us with his athleticism. He was someone that was on the cusp of being a four-star, On300 type going into that day and he really surpassed our expectations. He’s over 6-foot-3 and 210-215 pounds. He has a very good length at over a 6-foot-10 inch wingspan and he was off the charts athletic at that event. He ran a 4.59 second 40-yard dash and had a 35-inch vertical jump and a 10-foot-3 broad jump. I think he had an argument to be the most athletic guy at that camp. We like the film. He’s a guy who’s going to continue getting better technically, but the immense athletic upside was very evident, seeing him at that camp and going through the results.” — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings

4-star TE Joey Olsen — USC commit

On300 Ranking: No. 173
Previous Ranking: No. 238
School: Lake Oswego (Ore.) Lakeridge
“We’ve been high on Joey Olsen the whole time. He continued to slide up a little bit within the tight end group on this release because he’s continued to add size. Early in his high school career, he was a big receiver who projected as tight end, but we’ve seen him make a physical progression over the last couple of months into having more of a tight end body type. He continues to add weight and moves around really well. He has the natural receiving skills and athleticism.” — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings

On3 4-star IOL Anthonie Knapp — Notre Dame commit

On300 Ranking: No. 206
Previous Ranking: Unranked
School: Roswell (Ga.)
Anthonie Knapp, if pressed, could play all five positions on the offensive line. Ideally, he probably projects best on the inside of the offensive line long-term. He’s over six-foot-four, 265 pounds. He’s got a frame to continue adding weight and his combination of footwork, movement skills, physicality and ability to finish a block are very impressive. For an athletic offensive lineman, he is very physical and has the right mentality and play strength that you really want to see at the position when you’re projecting forward. As he continues to get bigger and stronger, he has the potential to be a monster on the offensive line. We’re really high on the film, with his ability in pass protection and as a run blocker. He’s very well-rounded, technical.” — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings

4-star OT Blake Frazier — Michigan commit

On300 Ranking: No. 209
Previous Ranking: No. 275
School: Austin (Texas) Vandegrift
Blake Frazier has the developmental body type and a good frame. I think he’ll be a guy that will look completely different physically in a college strength and conditioning program. But he’s already very strong. He is one of the top shot-put throwers in the state of Texas, especially among football players. He has that functional, explosive core power that you like to see. He can play tackle, I think he can play inside as well. We just really like the developmental upside and his athletic profile and what he’s shown us so far. We think his best football is ahead of him and he’s going to continue develop physically.” — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings
