Biggest Risers
Left to Right: QB Jaron Sagapolutele, QB Alex Manske, EDGE Marco Jones

On3 has released its updated player rankings — the On300 — for the 2025 cycle. Dozens of prospects across the country have seen their stock rise as their senior seasons begin to close.

A handful of recruits made especially large jumps after the latest evaluations from On3’s scouting and rankings team.

On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power and National Scout Cody Bellaire break down some of the biggest movers since the previous update this fall.

QB Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele — Cal commit

New On300 Ranking: No. 19
Previous On300 Ranking: No. 291
School: Ewa Beach (Hi.) James Campbell

Scout’s Take: “Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele has had one of the more meteoric rises we’ve seen from a quarterback in his senior season over the last couple cycles. He’s had a monster senior season at James Campbell High in Hawaii. He first came on the national radar at the Elite 11 Finals in the summer and really parlayed that into an outstanding final prep campaign. He is one of the most skilled passers in the 2025 cycle. He has one of the strongest arms that we’ve seen and has the ability to touch all areas of the field with his arm strength, but also can make a wide array of difficult throws. He can throw with touch, accuracy, outstanding timing, he leads his receivers, throws into tight windows and is just a top arm talent. A guy who is able to play with a level of nuance and skill as a passer — which is advanced and stands out.

His mobility, while not a strength of his game, is functional and he’s shown very good pocket awareness. He’s good against pressure, is able to step up and create when needed. If you were to just look at his film over the course of the season, it’s undeniable at this point and it’s really not surprising that top programs like Oregon and Georgia have offered him as a senior to add a second QB to their class. His level of play and the film he’s put together as a senior is hard to deny. This QB cycle is as deep at the top as one we’ve seen in quite some time, and Sagapolutele has really done enough as a senior, in our opinion, to insert himself into that five-star conversation as one of the more skilled passers in the cycle.” — On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power

QB Alex Manske — Iowa State commit

New On300 Ranking: No. 42
Previous On300 Ranking: No. 133
School: Algona (Iowa)

Scout’s Take: “Alex Manske was playing the best football of his career as a senior prior to a season-ending injury. I think his combination of arm talent, functional athleticism and continued improvement as a passer really stood out to us. He checks so many boxes from an overall profile standpoint. He is a multi-sport star, highly athletic and one who has a lot of arm talent. When you look at the plays that Manske made as a senior, it just translates to success in college football and beyond. His efficiency metrics and overall statistics, both as a passer and rusher, were among the best in the cycle.

Prior to his injury he threw 18 touchdowns at 13.1 yards per attempt with zero interceptions. Also a significant run threat, scoring over a touchdown per game on the ground. He has the total skillset that you look for in a modern QB and we think Manske is a big-time get for Matt Campbell in the cycle, one who we feel is deserving of being a top-50 prospect in what’s a very deep QB group at the top in 2025.” — On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power

OT Malachi Goodman — Penn State commit

New On300 Ranking: No. 46
Previous On300 Ranking: No. 108
School: Paramus (N.J.) Catholic

Scout’s Take: “Malachi Goodman has a lot going for him as an offensive tackle prospect. He has all of the physical markers you look for, with a big frame at over 6-foot-5, around 310 pounds, he has elite length, has the multi-sport background and is very young for the class — he could easily be a 2026 prospect. I think that’s all key in understanding the upside we saw in Goodman prior to his senior year, and I think we’re seeing signs as a senior of him continuing to improve as a prospect. Really like his film as a senior, he is long, balanced and in control. He plays with good strength, really played well against top competition in games we watched, where he was going up against talented, college-level defensive linemen.

He shows good footwork and doesn’t find himself in a lot of unfavorable positions, he doesn’t make a ton of mistakes, which is so encouraging for a prospect that has continued room for growth. It’s a strong year among offensive linemen, and Goodman, when watching the film of these top tackles, was a clear ‘arrow-up’ type of player and one who really checks so many boxes in what we value at the position.” — On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power

LB Zaydrius Rainey-Sale — Washington commit

New On300 Ranking: No. 56
Previous On300 Ranking: No. 141
School: Spanaway (Wash.) Bethel

Scout’s Take: “Zaydrius Rainey-Sale is a player that we felt going into his senior season had some serious potential. The body type paired with his immense length and top-end speed always intrigued us, but we wanted to see him develop his ability to diagnose and trigger. Fast forward to his senior season and Rainey-Sale has done just that. His senior tape is loaded with clips of him flying to the football and striking downhill. He looks much quicker when it comes to sorting through the trash and processing than he did a year ago, Not to mention, he still has tremendous range and awareness when dropping into coverage being one of the most productive linebackers in the 2025 cycle when it comes to interceptions. Rainey-Sale is still growing into his frame and developing as he has a late November birthday and could technically be a 2026 prospect. He has one of the higher upsides of any defensive player in this cycle.” — On3 National Scout Cody Bellaire

EDGE Marco Jones — Texas A&M commit

New On300 Ranking: No. 57
Previous On300 Ranking: No. 172
School: Danville (Calif.) San Ramon Valley

Scout’s Take: “Marco Jones has been a revelation as a senior. He was long considered an off-ball linebacker prospect and has really grown into an EDGE and has blossomed as a pass-rusher as a senior. We’ve seen him play more along the edge, in addition to some off-ball, and he has put together some awesome film to this point in the season. Jones has a big frame at 6-foot-4, 242 pounds, and can really bend around the edge. A loose, fluid athlete who has quite frankly advanced technical ability — which is super impressive considering his limited time as a pass-rusher. His quick hands and ability to disengage, he plays with a motor that runs hot and has athleticism that transfers over really well to playing on the edge. All over the field as a senior, he has 28 tackles for loss, which is a great number to this point.

Has rare versatility within this group in that he can be a legitimate off-ball linebacker, but has the size and skillset to rush off the edge. He looks like an outstanding chess piece on the defensive line for Mike Elko at A&M. If Jones continues to show like he’s showing, I think his rise may not be done. He’s had a fantastic senior season and is a top dual-sport athlete, planning to play both football and baseball at A&M. You can see the coordination and technical ability to go with his size and on-field movement skills. We’re really excited about what Jones has done so far as he looks like one of the top edge-rushers in the cycle.” — On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power

CB Jamar Beal-Goines — Texas A&M commit

New On300 Ranking: No. 62
Previous On300 Ranking: No. 198
School: Goodyear (Ariz.) Desert Edge

Scout’s Take: ” Jamar Beal-Goines has developed his ability in man coverage, particularly in his ability at the catch point. As a senior, Beal-Goines tallied 11 pass breakups and came down with an interception. His ability to locate the football in man coverage is night and day compared to last season. He’s done an excellent job staying in phase with receivers and a much better job of finding the football and making plays on it at its highest point. He also looks much more polished in press man coverage looking much more calm and under control than he did a year ago, His feet are much more quiet and it allows him to mirror and close to the catch point on underneath and intermediate routes. He showed some dynamic ability as a returner as well this season returning multiple kicks and punts for touchdowns. He has always been one of the top athletes at the position, but with his improved technique and patience, he is becoming quite the complete corner prospect.” — On3 National Scout Cody Bellaire

EDGE Tylon Lee — Ole Miss commit

New On300 Ranking: No. 71
Previous On300 Ranking: N/R
School: Milton (Fla.) Pace

Scout’s Take: “Tylon Lee made the biggest debut within the On300, going from a three-star prospect into the top 75. He has had an absolutely fantastic senior season and it does not take long to see why we feel this rise is merited. Lee, at over 6-foot-5 and around 250-260 pounds, moves like a Mack truck with a Ferrari engine. He is all over the field and has some of the more eye-popping individual plays we’ve seen from a player on the defensive front to this point in their senior season. An extreme motor, outstanding play-speed, he’s super physical, runs through contact and chases down plays from any area on the field. He’s just highly disruptive, having 35 tackles for loss in just 10 games in the regular season. Basically, this is a prospect who lives in opposing backfields.

Lee is not a finesse player, he runs through the face of offensive tackles, bursts into the backfield, creates disruption, and his play style might remind some of Texas A&M defensive end Nic Scourton, who’s a projected top-10 pick. Some of the most emphatic finishes and high-effort, explosive plays that are a little bit reminiscent of Will Anderson. Obviously that’s super high company, but those are the type of plays that Tylon Lee has made to this point. He’s a complete wrecking ball in the backfield and I think he could go down as one of the bigger under-the-radar flips of the cycle, with Ole Miss flipping him from UCF. This is a no-brainer when watching the film and looking at the physical attributes. This looks to be a big get for the Rebels, a guy who we project to continue getting into the backfield at the next level.” — On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power

DL Benny Patterson — Michigan commit

New On300 Ranking: No. 77
Previous On300 Ranking: No. 224
School: Newburgh (Ind.) Castle

Scout’s Take: “Benny Patterson has one of the most enjoyable senior tapes of any defensive prospect in the 2025 cycle. He is a total game wrecker. At 6-foot-2, 245+pounds with FREAKY length, Patterson has immense scheme flexibility. His power and movement skills allow him to play standing up off the edge all the way to a 3-technique with his hand in the dirt. Patterson looks to have gained some mass in his lower half and even stronger at the point of attack. We knew he always had burst and vertical disruption. But in the senior film, he looks like he has become and a dominant run stopper as well showing much more pop in his pads and the ability to stack and shed blockers more confidently.

It will be curious to see how Patterson’s body develops at the next level being that his frame should be able to add mass without hindering his athleticism. So we believe that he could sit comfortably in the 275-280 pound range if he wanted to at the next level, but he could just as easily sit at 260+ and become a menace off the edge as well. His versatility combined with his burst and raw power make him a special prospect up front. And yes, with a late May birthday, he’s one of the younger defensive line prospects in the 2025 cycle.” — On3 National Scout Cody Bellaire

WR Jacob Washington — Michigan commit

New On300 Ranking: No. 83
Previous On300 Ranking: No. 249
School: New Orleans Archbishop Shaw

Scout’s Take: “Similar to Emmanuel Choice, Jacob Washington is a bigger-bodied pass catcher that we wanted to see how he developed as a senior. Washington also laid down some solid track times securing personal bests in the 100m (11.28) and the 200m (23.20) this past track season. The 6-foot-3, 185 pound senior looks much more comfortable at the catch point and the track improvements appear to be showing up on the gridiron as well. Washington is becoming a player that can stretch the field vertically and threaten defenses over the top. This has allowed him to become a much more dominant intermediate player because defensive backs have to respect his top-end speed.

His ability to sink his hips and get out of his breaks has always been impressive for his size, but being able to combine that ability with a much stronger vertical threat to his game allows him to create separation much easier than a year ago, Not to mention, he appears to be much more comfortable plucking the football away from his frame and has increased his ability to make tougher, contested catches. And just like Choice, Washington also has one of the younger birthdays in the 2025 cycle. — On3 National Scout Cody Bellaire

WR Emmanuel Choice — Oklahoma commit

New On300 Ranking: No. 93
Previous On300 Ranking: No. 246
School: Lancaster (Texas)

Scout’s Take: “The 6-foot-4, 200+ pound wideout from Lancaster, TX has shown some improvements in his game, particularly after the catch and from a physical perspective. Emmanuel Choice looks like he has added some mass to his frame and has increased his twitch and short area quickness as well. He laid down some serious track times in the hurdles this past spring running 14.56 in the 110 high hurdles and sub-40 in the 300 intermediate hurdles, both were personal bests. He also totaled over 50 catches for 800+ yards and 9 touchdowns in his senior season improving in each category compared to last year.

Choice looks much more dynamic with the ball in his hands becoming a shiftier ball carrier making him extremely difficult to bring down in the open field. He still has the catch radius and ball skills to come down with contested catches, but adding more YAC to his bag of tricks makes him a much more complete wideout long term. Plus, he is still one of the younger receiver prospects int he 2025 cycle with his late July birthday.” — On3 National Scout Cody Bellaire
