Biggest risers in the updated 2026 On300 rankings
On3 has released its updated player rankings — the On300 — for the 2026 cycle. Dozens of prospects across the country have seen their stock rise as they progress through their junior seasons.
A handful of recruits made especially large jumps after the latest evaluations from On3’s scouting and rankings team.
On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power and National Scout Cody Bellaire break down some of the biggest movers since May.
WR Tristen Keys
New On300 Ranking: No. 9
Previous On300 Ranking: No. 89
School: Hattiesburg (Miss.)
Scout’s Take: “Tristen Keys, in our opinion, has the best film to this point in the season among 2026 receivers. He was a guy we really liked in the offseason camp and 7-on-7 circuit, and that has carried over to this fall. He is making spectacular grabs, and we see him make acrobatic one-handed catches. Just the explosiveness with his ability to separate, go up and make contested catches, and then pick up yards after the catch is really notable and sticks out. He looks like a top receiver prospect, and I think at this point in the season has put himself in the best position to challenge Chris Henry Jr. as the No. 1 receiver in the 2026 cycle.” — Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power
OT Kodi Greene — Oregon commit
New On300 Ranking: No. 12
Previous On300 Ranking: No. 78
School: Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei
Scout’s Take: “Kodi Greene is one of the most nimble and athletic pass protectors among offensive tackles that we’ve watched so far this season. He is very light on his feet, coordinated and has played well at this point after transferring to Southern California powerhouse Mater Dei for his junior year. He’s faced top competition and has done really well, especially in pass protection. When you go back and just watch the full breadth of film on Kodi Greene and dive into his movement skills, I think they stack up really well at the position and they project well. I think as he continues to get stronger and progress as a run blocker, he looks to have a five-star type of ceiling when you consider the athleticism and movement skills, and how projectable they are along with his plus size.” — Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power
EDGE Trenton Henderson
New On300 Ranking: No. 22
Previous On300 Ranking: No. 293
School: Pensacola Catholic (Fla.)
Scout’s Take: “Trenton Henderson is an EDGE defender who has shown some excellent production so far in his junior season totaling more than 10 tackles-for-loss and 5 sacks in 7 games. His combination of length with his first step allows him to get a jump on offensive tackles before the ball is even snapped. Henderson has top-tier athletic ability that he not only uses as a pass rusher, but as a space defender as well. He can drop into the flat and make plays in the passing game as well as cover grass from sideline to sideline in order to bring down ball carriers on the perimeter. He has one of the highest ceilings in the 2026 EDGE group due to his rare combination of length and athleticism.” — National Scout Cody Bellaire
OT Claude Mpouma
New On300 Ranking: No. 31
Previous On300 Ranking: No. 69
School: Chicago Phillips Academy
Scout’s Take: “It didn’t take very long for Claude Mpouma to make a splash as a blue-chip recruit in a guy with national offers. He is just a few games into his football career. He has a background as an accomplished high school and AAU basketball player and just looks to be a natural at offensive tackle. Moves really well, has a big frame, looks to have plus length. Perhaps most importantly, just plays with the functional movement skills and play strength that we really like to see at the position. He’s shown the ability to create a push. He’s physical, he initiates contact and the coordination he brings along with the encouraging physicality projects well as an offensive tackle. And he’s just a few games into his career, so there’s a long way to go here. But the early signs point to an offensive tackle with a very high ceiling.” — Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power
OT J.B. Shabazz
New On300 Ranking: No. 34
Previous On300 Ranking: NR
School: Winston Salem (N.C.) Oak Grove
Scout’s Take: “J.B. Shabazz is another big-framed offensive tackle with a basketball background who has made a lot of progress as a junior. He transferred to East Forsyth High School where he’s blocking for On300 North Carolina quarterback commit Bryce Baker, and has played really well to this point in the season. He has a big frame, light on his feet, physical at the point of attack. He really swallows up defensive linemen and is showing encouraging physicality. When you look at the film, it’s not surprising to see why he’s gotten some big offers this fall. J.B. Shabazz has taken a considerable jump on film from his sophomore to junior seasons, which is highly encouraging and shows an upward trajectory with his development.” — Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power
OT Kelvin Obot
New On300 Ranking: No. 39
Previous On300 Ranking: NR
School: Fruitland (Idaho)

Scout’s Take: “Kelvin Obot has some of the most electric film we saw of any offensive lineman for this update. He looks to be a highly athletic offensive tackle. Has a really evenly proportioned body type. Is just an explosive mover and extremely powerful. Playing high school football in the state of Idaho, he dominates the competition like you would hope for a blue-chip prospect. Is a strong pass protector, very good run blocker as well. Just a combination of movement skills and violence on contact is highly encouraging. He looks to be the next big prospect out of the state of Idaho.” — Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power
DL Damari Simeon
New On300 Ranking: No. 46
Previous On300 Ranking: NR
School: Egg Harbor Township (N.J.) St. Augustine Prep
Scout’s Take: “Damari Simeon is truly one of the freakier movers along the defensive line we have seen this season. At 6-foot-2, 275 pounds, Simeon’s burst and lateral ability are off the charts. He is able to destroy blockers as soon as the ball is snapped but also has the balance and body control in order to work down the line of scrimmage if the play is away from him. His ability to play with such low pad level and get underneath blockers pads allows him to manhandle offensive linemen with ease and it allows him to basically live in opposing backfields on every down. He has one of the highest floors in the entire country due to his ability to displace blockers consistently.” – National Scout Cody Bellaire
EDGE Simote Katoanga
New On300 Ranking: No. 52
Previous On300 Ranking: NR
School: San Juan Capistrano (Calif.) J Serra Catholic
Scout’s Take: “Simote Katoanga has shows incredible flashes of get off and burst coming off the line of scrimmage, especially after adding some substantial mass to his frame in the offseason. Katoanga is listed at 6-foot-5, 255 pounds and has shown off his versatility along the defensive line so far in his junior season. He has shown the ability to handle blockers at the point of attack along the interior, can bend the corner as a pass rusher off the edge, and can set the edge in the run game comfortably. He is showing that he is a do-it-all edge defender that can cover any and all assignments that are thrown his way.” — National Scout Cody Bellaire
EDGE Nolan Wilson
New On300 Ranking: No. 56
Previous On300 Ranking: NR
School: Picayune Memorial (Miss.)
Scout’s Take: “Nolan Wilson is someone that we felt has shown some improved twitch and hand usage in his game as we hit the midpoint of his junior season. His ability to disrupt offenses by knifing between offensive linemen and holding the point against the run is extremely impressive. Wilson appears to be becoming a more complete defender and it shows on the stat sheet as well. At 6-foot-4, 235 pounds, Wilson has the power to stop the run as well as the twitch and athleticism to be an effective pass rusher off the edge. He has an extremely high ceiling and floor as an edge defender at the next level.” — National Scout Cody Bellaire
QB Matt Ponatoski
New On300 Ranking: No. 110
Previous On300 Ranking: NR
School: Cincinnati Archbishop Moeller
Scout’s Take: “Matt Ponatoski is arguably having the biggest breakout season among 2026 quarterbacks. He is having a dominant year playing top competition in the private school league in the state of Ohio. He has thrown for 35 touchdowns to just two interceptions against some big-time high school football programs. Ponatoski has an interesting background — he is considered an elite baseball prospect, has over 40 offers on the diamond and is considered to be the No. 1 baseball prospect in the state of Ohio. I think he’s going to have a lot of football options as well once college coaches really dig into his film. He has thrown a lot of natural passing skill, makes a wide variety of throws. Shows very good field vision and the ability to deliver with accuracy. He is really just picking apart teams to the degree that we don’t typically see in this league. He’s got a quick arm and natural arm talent. Looks to be playing at a really high level. I think he’s one that certainly is trending toward being a national prospect at quarterback, and it will be interesting to see how his recruitment unfolds in football in the coming months.” — Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power
