Biggest risers in the updated 2026 On300 rankings
On3 has released its updated player rankings — the On300 — for the 2026 cycle. Dozens of prospects saw their stock rise as they prepare for their junior campaigns on the gridiron.
A few, however, made particularly large jumps after the latest evaluations from On3’s scouting and rankings team. Multiple prospects jumped into the top-300 from outside the rankings completely, and a handful more made major moves into the top-150.
On3 National Scout Cody Bellaire breaks down some of the biggest movers and why they made massive jumps in the May update:
4-star RB Damarius Yates
On300 Ranking: No. 31
Previous Ranking: NR
School: De Kalb (Miss.) Kemper County
Scout’s Take: “Damarius Yates is one of the more athletically gifted players at the running back position in the 2026 recruiting cycle. At 5-foot-10, 190 pounds he has run personal bests of 10.90 in the 100m and an absurd 20.43 200m. His ability to cut upfield and break off long gains showed up on the stat sheet his sophomore season as he rushed for over 1,100 yards on 103 carries averaging over 10 yards per carry which is extremely impressive. Yates has excellent long term potential, especially if he is able to maintain his athletic ability as he physically develops and adds mass throughout his frame.”
4-star safety Bralan Womack
On300 Ranking: No. 53
Previous Ranking: NR
School: Brandon (Miss.) Hartfield Academy
Scout’s Take: “Bralan Womack has been one of the more dominant two-way players in the 2026 recruiting cycle butbis projected to play safety at the next level. On Friday nights, he has always filled the stat sheet on both sides of the ball but we really wanted to see the way he moves at safety with our own eyes this offseason and he was beyond impressive. During the spring camp circuit, he showed such smooth and fluid hips as well as calm and quiet footwork. He’s much more polished at defensive back than we initially anticipated and he looked excellent in workouts. Not to mention, he also set personal bests in the 100m and 200m during his sophomore track and field season. The arrow is continuing to point in the right direction for Womack.”
4-star RB Davian Groce
On300 Ranking: No. 59
Previous Ranking: No. 247
School: Frisco (Texas) Lone Star
Scout’s Take: “Davian Groce has one of the stronger combinations of size and speed at the running back position for the 2026 cycle. At 6-foot-1, 190 pounds, Groce laid down a personal best 10.90 100m his sophomore track season. He also is one of the more refined pass catchers out of the backfield securing 45 catches for over 800 yards this past season. He’s projected to be a true three-down back at the next level.”
4-star CB Brandon Lockhart — USC commit
On300 Ranking: No. 69
Previous Ranking: No. 141
School: Los Angeles Loyola
Scout’s Take: “Brandon Lockhart is one of the more prototypical looking corners in the 2026 class. At nearly 6-foot-3, 165 pounds he has great top-end speed combined with true mirror ability in man coverage. He was tremendous during the Under Armour LA camp series showing off his ability to play the football in the air and contest catches at the high point. With his frame and athletic ability, Lockhart has promising long-term upside as a boundary corner at the next level.”
4-star WR Jordon Gidron
On300 Ranking: No. 94
Previous Ranking: No. 165
School: Columbia (S.C.) Ridge View
Scout’s Take: “Jordan Gidron has had a flawless offseason to this point going into the summer between his sophomore and junior seasons. He has smoked his personal bests on the track in the 100m and 200m clocking times of 10.68 and 21.60, respectively. Gidron was also one of the top prospects at the Under Armour Charlotte camp series where he showed crisp routes and natural hands. Plus, he was one best testers at the event which was more than enough for us to vault him into 4-star territory.”
4-star RB Brian Bonner
On300 Ranking: No. 94
Previous Ranking: No. 206
School: Santa Clarita (Calif.) Valencia
Scout’s Take: “Brian Bonner is one of the more unique studies when it comes to running back prospects in this 2026 cycle. He has a late summer birthday which means he won’t turn 18 until right before his freshman year of college. As one of the younger prospects in the cycle and from a physical development standpoint, it makes his 10.56 100m and 21.84 200m times that much more impressive given the fact he has yet to turn 16. And at 6-foot, 185 pounds, Bonner has plenty of time and room to fill out his frame and continue to increase his explosive ability.”

4-star DL McHale Blade
On300 Ranking: No. 174
Previous Ranking: No. 101
School: Country Club Hills (Ill.)
Scout’s Take: “McHale Blade is a player who we have seen physically develop and truly start to fill out what was always a projectable frame. He’s now standing closer to 6-foot-5, 240 pounds and has immense length. With his prototypical build and length, Blade is someone who will have positional flexibility along the line of scrimmage which college coordinators covet in the front seven. If he’s able to maintain his movement skills as he continues to add mass to his frame, he will continue to see his stock rise throughout this process.”
4-star EDGE Tristian Givens
On300 Ranking: No. 104
Previous Ranking: NR
School: Columbus (Ga.) Carver
Scout’s Take: “Tristian Givens is an extremely twitched up pass rusher. And at 6-foot-4 with length, he has a chance to become one of the more dominant edge defenders in the country, especially as he continues to fill out his frame. He’s a two-way player that lines up at receiver on offense who also plays basketball for his high school team during the offseason. He’s someone that we believe will see drastic physical changes once he fully commits to football year-round and that will pay off on Saturday nights at the next level.”
4-star TE Ian Premer
On300 Ranking: No. 110
Previous Ranking: NR
School: Great Bend (Kan.)
Scout’s Take: “Ian Premer is exactly what team’s are looking for at the next level from the tight end position. They want big frames that have strong athletic ability with natural hands that are willing to be violent blockers. If you watch his film on the football field on Friday nights you can see the natural hands and physical blocking. You see the athletic ability too, but Premer puts on an absolute highlight reel of athleticism on the hardwood. He can jump out the gym and hammers down dunks with dynamite. Premer is exactly how you would draw them up when it comes to tight ends in the modern game.”
4-star WR Joel Wyatt
On300 Ranking: No. 116
Previous Ranking: NR
School: Knoxville (Tenn.) Webb School
Scout’s Take: “Joel Wyatt has the size and athletic ability to possibly become one of the most sought after receivers in the 2026 class. He’s nearly 6-foot-5, 195 pounds with a 6-foot-8 wingspan that can jump to the moon. We’re talking about a player that is that tall jumping over 6 feet in the high jump and over 22 feet in the long jump. He’s a complete physical mismatch when it comes to high pointing the football and has the ability to stretch the field vertically. If he can sure up his hands at the catch point and become more consistent tracking the football downfield, Wyatt has the chance to be a special talent.”
4-star DL Bryce Perry-Wright
On300 Ranking: No. 132
Previous Ranking: No. 221
School: Buford (Ga.)
Scout’s Take: “Bryce Perry-Wright has been a long-time standout along the defensive line at Georgia powerhouse Buford high school. He has great size standing in at 6-foot-3, 265 pounds and this offseason he has shown some improvement in his functional strength increasing his personal best in the shot put to 41-foot-9. Perry-Wright has also shown quality movement skills and hand usage during the spring camp circuit and has seen his stock continue to rise heading into his junior season.”
