Biletnikoff Award announces three finalists for college football's top receiver
There are several receivers who have impressed throughout the 2023 college football season. The Biletnikoff Award has narrowed its pick for the top receiver in college football down to a final three.
The Biletnikoff Award announced Monday that Ohio State receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., LSU receiver Malik Nabers and Washington receiver Rome Odunze are still in the running to win the Biletnikoff Award.
The trophy is presented annually to college football’s most outstanding FBS receiver. Any player who catches a pass, regardless of position, is eligible for the award. Here’s a closer look at the three finalists:
Ohio State WR Marvin Harrison Jr.
Marvin Harrison Jr. was considered the top receiver coming into the 2023 season, and he certainly is still in the discussion with the way he has played this year. The junior has recorded 67 catches for 1,211 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Ohio State has had inconsistent quarterback play, and opposing defenses always know where Harrison is. Still, he has put up impressive numbers. Harrison is the first Ohio State receiver in school history with back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons and is expected to be a top 10 pick in next year’s NFL draft.
LSU WR Malik Nabers
LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels gets a ton of attention, and rightfully so, but Malik Nabers is a big part of why the Tigers have the top offense in college football. The junior has recorded 86 catches for 1,546 yards and 14 touchdowns this season.

Nabers leads the country in receiving yards and is behind only teammate Brian Thomas Jr. in receiving touchdowns. He has the ability to make difficult, contested catches in traffic and is also dangerous after the catch.
Washington WR Rome Odunze
Washington receiver Rome Odunze is a big reason why the Huskies are still fighting for a spot in the College Football Playoff. Like Nabers, his quarterback gets a lot of attention, but there’s no doubt Odunze is one of the best receivers in the country.
The junior has recorded 73 catches for 1,326 yards and 13 touchdowns. Fellow Huskies receivers Ja’Lynn Polk and Jalen McMillan have been in and out of the lineup this year with injuries, but Odunze has played every game and has eight 100-yard receiving games.
The Biletnikoff Award winner will be announced on The Home Depot College Football Awards show on Dec. 8 on ESPN. Marvin Harrison Jr., Malik Nabers and Rome Odunze all proved throughout this season that they are worthy of being finalists.
