4-star Bishop Boswell has two schools standing out
Bishop Boswell is the 2024 On3 Consensus No. 61 player. This makes the 6-foot-4 point guard the industry’s No. 10 ranked player, at his position, in his class.
“I can do a little bit of everything,” Boswell told On3. “I think I’m learning the game more as a whole. I’ll knock down my jumper, find my bigs, and get to my midrange more. I’ve heard I play like Andrew Nembhard, so I have studied up on him. I try to take a little from everyone’s game; there are so many out there to watch.”
The Charlotte (NC) Myers Park junior has become a target for college coaches as well. On3 caught up with Bishop Boswell at a recent workout to talk about his recruitment.
“My most recent offers are from Texas A&M, Houston, Georgia, and Wake Forest,” Boswell said. “I’d say Wake Forest and Georgia are the ones reaching out to me the most right now.
Boswell talks recruitment
Wake Forest: “It’s a great program; I’ve been up there a few times. The family feel there is great; they really embraced me and have made me feel like a part of the team already. I love how close to home it is, and they had a great year this year. With the new coach, they look like they’re trending in the right direction.

“It was good to watch a practice there, to see how fast the game is at the college level and the pace they move.”
Georgia: “Their play-style stands out to me, but also Coach (Mike) White’s success with point guards. He had good success with point guards at Florida before he moved to Georgia. That is something that intrigues me, and they play with a lot of ball screen action, which is something I think I can play out of.
“I’ve recently heard from Georgia Tech and Cincinnati, too,” Boswell said.
Boswell’s take
“I want to go to a school that embraces me,” Boswell said. “Fit will be big, seeing which school is the best fit for me, where I can become the best player I can turn into. Playstyle will be big for me too. I’ll want to play in a system that will allow me to maximize my potential.
On3’s take
Bishop Boswell is a tough-minded, paint-touch point guard. At 6-foot-4, he has long arms, and as a former football recruit, he brings a sense of toughness to the court. Boswell is a high-level on-ball defender. He will pick up his man for the full length of the floor and turn his man multiple times. Boswell plays well out of the pick and roll, where he makes good reads. He touches the paint in the half-court, and his decision-making is improving. The jump shot is streaky but improving. The arc on his shot can get flat at times, but he is becoming at least a threat from three. Boswell has solid straight-line burst and quick feet. He makes plays.
