Blake Burke, Marco Dinges trade social media shots amid Florida State, Tennessee upset losses

A pair of professional baseball players got into a seemingly friendly Twitter feud on Tuesday night following the Tennessee baseball team losing its first game of the year. Both players were former college baseball players.
The whole thing started when ETSU topped Tennessee on Tuesday night. It was the first loss of the season for the Volunteers.
And of course someone would tweet that news. Marco Dinges, a catcher in the Brewers organization and a former Florida State player, tagged former Tennessee player and current first baseman in the Brewers organization Blake Burke in a reply to the tweet.
He dropped the tag with a blushing emoji. As if to say Burke should be embarrassed by the loss.
Burke was not about to take that sitting down. He then took a screenshot of No. 5 Florida State losing to Mercer 9-3 on Tuesday night and replied with that.
Dinges wasn’t done either, though. He tweeted a yawning emoji and included a picture, seemingly of Burke, checking a swing during what appears to be a College World Series game.

Tennessee and Florida State did meet in the College World Series last year. Tennessee won both games, eventually sending Florida State at home. And Burke went 3-of-5 at the plate in both games between the two teams.
Burke was about done with the Twitter feud at this point. He ended it with the following banger.
Hard to argue with a national championship. And Blake Burke was a huge part of it.
So far in the minor leagues, Blake Burke has played for the High-A affiliate Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. He is hitting .250 in five games, drawing two walks while striking out four times.
Dinges, on the other hand, is with Single-A affiliate Carolina Mudcats. He is hitting .271 in 13 games, having knocked out four doubles and collected three RBI. He has walked six times and struck out 13 times.
