Blue-chip recruits continue to come off the board as we kick off the month of September, with five-star Lafayette (La.) Acadiana defensive lineman Dominick McKinley the latest. With his pledge to Texas A&M on Friday afternoon, only six uncommitted five-star prospects remain in the 2024 cycle.
And of the blue-chip prospects (rated as 4- and 5-stars in the On3 Industry Ranking), 364 of the top 400 in the country are already pledged to a school. Of that 364, 191 — or just over 52% — belong to one of 13 schools leading the country in blue-chip commits this cycle.
