Bo Bassett recruiting update: No. 1 wrestling prospect down to Top 9 schools
Bo Bassett is now in the single digits in his latest recruiting update as the No. 1 wrestling prospect moves through the high school season.
Bassett is MatScouts’ No. 1 overall prospect in the Class of 2026 and one of the most sought after prospects in recent memory. Over the weekend, Bassett won his third Ironman title, this time at 144 pounds and had tech falls over six straight opponents.
After winning one of the most elite high school tournaments, Bassett revealed where he stood in his recruiting.
“Things have been great, I talked to most of the college coaches alot leading into Ironman, some during Ironman and then got some amazing feedback after,” Bassett wrote in his newsletter. “I enjoy this part of the recruiting process and learning from some of the best coaches ever. We also talked about the Cliff Keen and about their team’s performances, which was so fun to hear their ideas for improvement.”
Bassett eliminated Cornell this week, leaving him with nine schools. He has just one more official visit scheduled for January at Rutgers.
