Bo Bassett recruiting update: Top wrestling prospect still at 15 schools, gives timeline for decision
Bo Bassett hasn’t cut down his wrestling recruiting list in recent weeks as the No. 1 prospect in 2026 still has a list of 15 schools.
But, Bassett gave an updated timeline as far as when a decision could be made. One thing’s for sure, Bassett will take his time.
Earlier this month, Bassett narrowed down his list to 15 schools and also had a list of upcoming visits.
“Recruiting Update: I am down to 15 and have some ties to each of those programs,” Bassett’s statement from his FaceBook page read. “I know this will be hard at the end to pick just one with so many great wrestling programs, staffs, partners, RTCs and fan bases.
“I want to go and check most of them out. I am not in a rush to commit. With Worlds, WNO and Super 32, the process got push back. Now taking some time to do some official visits. I got Iowa, PSU, Ohio St, VT and Oklahoma State over the next few weekends. Then I will ramp it up preparing for Ironman and the season. I plan to get some more visits lined up in the spring. Lots to line up yet.”
