Bo Bassett reveals latest recruiting list after U20 World Bronze Medal
Bo Bassett provided his latest recruiting update after the generational wrestling prospect captured Bronze at the U20 World Championships.
Bassett revealed he’d eliminate one school each week moving forward. The list is now at 19 schools.
Bassett sent a message after coming home with some hardware.
“What a week, the World Championships were an amazing experience and always grateful to compete for the United States,” Bassett wrote in his newsletter. “The Goal was to win another world title but that wasn’t in God’s plan. There is zero doubt I will be back the next two years bigger, better and sprinting even harder. I am leaving there with more fire and drive than ever.
“Always an honor to represent God and the United States of America 🇺🇸. Grateful for the bronze but I will be back for my title. Always hungry, driven and looking to keep evolving. Perspective, experience, and opportunity. Relentless Pursuit whistle to whistle. I love this Sport. So Blessed to be apart of one of the best U20 teams of all time.”
This week, NC State was removed from Bassett’s list. Here are the remaining schools:

Cornell
Michigan
Ohio State
Lehigh

On a edition of Baschamania this summer, Bassett opened up on what he looked forward to in the recruiting process. One thing’s for sure, he’ll take his time.
“I’m extremely excited. It’s gonna be fun,” Bassett said prior to when coaches could officially call him. “That post that I put out, I just kind of want to make the point that everyone’s in the (running) and I’m not really slotted in anywhere, I don’t prefer any other schools over anyone else and I’m really excited to be open as far as recruiting.
“I’m excited to go see where I best fit and I think that there’s a lot of different factors that I’m looking into but I think it’s just where I can be the most successful and get the you know, the most out of it. Going to take my visits, I’m not going to commit on day one or probably within the first month to six months. I think that it’s one of those things that I’m going to take my time and really make the right decision, but you only get that decision once. And I’m a pretty loyal guy so I don’t really see myself transferring out ever. So I think wherever I go, that’s where I’m going to be for four maybe (five) years … so really excited for this process.”
